Russell Slade today says to the media
Gareth Rogers: Adam Le Fondre said he has had no contact with Cardiff. Is that right?
Slade No, not at all. He’s been contacted and he knows exactly when he is in to see me for a chat.
I do believe he’s had dialogue via his agent with the secretary and the chief executive.
There is on-going dialogue there.
Dont forget
Guerra,Matt Daehli,Jones etc all said different stories as well.
So is Russell Slade being honest or is every player lying?

I do believe this game has a massive problem with agents. They are the poison that is ruining the reputation of many good young players and many good teams.
when all communication goes through an agent, it is they who control what messages that are relayed.

Gamesman ship from both id imagine. Alf wants to go so is playing everything up to make it tough to bring him back. Cardiff Mostly want him gone. Wages plus an excessive amount of strikers so put contact at a minimum.
Alf must be an embarrassment for Slade though, he can't get the lad scoring so loajs him out to an inferior team and he gets a solid return while other Cardiff strikers continue to struggle. Common link? Slade cannot get a system in place to benefit strikers.

Who knows these days with the power agents have he could be manipulating a move back up north with the advice of his agent. Yet again after the earlier story of lefondre being told on the bus about his move and then telling the press about the situation slade might think he's well shot of him.
Whatever the truth he doesn't sound happy to Come back so hopefully we can recoup some of his fee and move on.

Could well be Alf' s agent angling for summer move. However, will Bolton be able to afford him anyway? Doubt it somehow. I can see someone else stepping in, but he would want somewhere close to his home.

On a separate point, it's more to do with motivating Alf and giving him the confidence he seriously lacked for us. As I've said before, he had masses of chances including two clear cut one's at Millwall.

I'm not sure motivation comes into missing open goals from 2 yards out. Sometime players have to take some responsibility and Le Fondre certainly falls into that category. Too easy to blame Slade on this one, he picked him every week and still he didn't deliver.

Slade could just said he's not in my plans so loan move is best! So no need to deny anything , also would you believe agents?? I wouldn't as only look out for themselves and player, and will do anything to manipulate things as we all know.

Slade hasn't said he has spoke to him so he probably doesn't know.

Why would Alfie want to move back to Wales when his wife and 2 daughters live in Bolton, makes perfect sense, he's playing us to the tune of a fiddle, wants summer move and who can blame him. He made an error joining us.

Annis, I think Slade is many things, but not a liar and I feel that his agent (at the very least) will have been kept up-to-date on the situation
I feel Le Fondre (like the others mentioned) will have a certain amount of "self-interest" in any statement they make and I don't see this being any different

Russell Slade may have his critics but I believe that he is honest. He doesn't come across as being a liar.
I don't understand the argument that ALF has been rubbish for us because his wife and family live near Bolton. For goodness sake he must be being paid around £20k a week !! Surely, he could afford to rent a second house and move his wife and kids down with him. There are good state and private schools in Cardiff that he could easily afford.
Its the nature of being a professional footballer. You have to move with the job! If you want the privileges of playing football for extortionate wages, you can't say that I have played Cr#p because I'm homesick.
If he has this attitude then he doesn't deserve to be a professional footballer.

Mate of mine had dealings with Slade in the North East.
Says he wasnt upfront or direct in his dealings so turned him down.
You can take that or leave it. But there seems to be a pattern to me.

Its getting sad on here....No fan of Slade but this is just plain daft.
The kids wants to go back to the north west with as much money as possible......

Spot on. They should be banned, absolutely no reason why they exist except as parasites. Driven fees up which drives ticket prices up, which prevents fans watching games. Didn't happen until the Premier League came along.
