Walked past Penarths UKIP cafe and in the window they have 1/5 rating for hygiene. Worse than the local Chinese and Indian takeaways!! Lol

The food ratings are bollocks.

One Chinese by me serves by far the most authentic food around. Basically no greasy oil in their takeaways. I'd eat one every day.

Yet they have a 1/5 hygiene rating and some total shit places have 3+

Like some of the kebab shops in Merthyr have higher ratings and they are absolutely buzzing.

Id agree with the above. A lot of firms fail on documentation rather than hygiene

It's an automatic 0-1 if you don,t have the fsa safer catering pack a lot of business starting up will get caught out by it I got marked down 2 marks for it when I open my fish shop coz I only downloaded have the pack didn't realise that there was a section 2 ,should get higher next scoring in a month they marked me as a 3 and not a 5 last year

the environmental health officer only gave me one link to the fsa and not two like he should of ,you would think the local council would give you the right information when you've asked for it

The ratings are meaningless as the above say, my local workmens club have 1/5 rating and i've been there while they prepare food and it's just as good as if you made it in your own kitchen.

Obviously... the people who are literally paid just to cover these ratings are making it up...

they're probably from "bongo bongo land" or disability sympethisers

the council make it up as they go along ,pier 64 in the bay before bellmamy had it got a 0 and it was spotless
