' STANDING OVATION & THE RESPONSE '

:ayatollah: ' STANDING OVATION & THE RESPONSE ' :ayatollah:

This will show how well Cardiff City played last night even though we lost 3-1 away at Ipswich,at the end of the game, every City player walked right over to us,even though the tunnel was the other side of the pitch and the 197 City fans stood up and applauded everyone of them for their battling/110% display and their response was that at least 6 players threw their shirts to our fans :thumbright: :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Last night really did remind me of the good old days when our fans and team were united as one, no matter what the score line was :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Link viewtopic.php?f=2&t=157205 :thumbright: :thumbright:

Maybe we are better off with out the Glory hunters  :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

It was good that there was a connection Annis and hopefully it can continue  :bluescarf:

That's really good to hear Annis.

Fans there last night had to take at least a day, probably 2 off work.

These people are the lifeblood of the club.

Good to see some mutual respect.

Let's hope for a similar response from both players and fans atForest.

It was Deffo nice to see and be part of, didn't think any of the shirts were gonna reach us where we were, but just glad to see them come over and appreciate the hardcore fans plus me who admittedly only had a 2 hour journey each way!!

had they shown this earlier in season may be fans would have more faith in the club --- but onwards and upwards hopefully the bond between players and fans may return now all the big time charlies have gone --- gutted missed the game :bluescarf:

It was strange to leave a stadium smiling after a defeat but I felt it was a good effort by the players and we were well in it right up until the final minutes...long trip but I am glad I went

I agree with that Mallo :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

But I actually think the club lost the bond with our fans the day we left Ninian Park, they got to big for themselves.

It was a long trip, to say the least, but I'm glad I made it. City really did play well last night. Ipswich were well up for it, and got the early goal. But we gave them a game. Played some decent football at times. It was touch and go until they got their third in injury time, or whatever it's called these days. Still disappointed to lose, but there are fine lines in football. On another day? Tired today, though!

City fans don't mind losing providing that the team have battled and that's what we saw last night and actually bodes well for the future, with or without RS. And credit where credit is due, he did well last night. The final scoreline was unkind and we should have come away with at least a point but there you go. Positive talk on the coach back home that was only tainted by the smell of beery farts and those ever-so-fucking-annoying phone message alerts. Back home at 4am and pleased I made the trip.

Totally Spot on, thankfully we never had the farts on the way home :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Great to see they worked hard but lacked that bit of quality!

It's encouraging to read these comments as Ipswich are a top six side and we could have won at their place on another day.

Bolton game aside, our form has really improved and I honestly believe Slade is putting things in place for a play-off challenge next season.

Could be one of the best seasons in years and only a percentage of fans will see it!

Plenty more "fans" will appear out of the woodwork if we look like we'll be challenging for promotion next season.

I was encouraged by the attitude of the players and that I felt we deserved at least a draw :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I think you'll find that you need some glory hunters. After all, 197 supporters is hardly a sustainable number given the cost of players' wages; upkeep of the stadium etc.
