Russell Slade calls for unity amid Trust concern
By BBC Sport

April 2015

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has urged the club and its supporters to "pull in the same direction".

Cardiff City Supporters Trust called on the club to reveal its blueprint for the future amid fears over player sales and falling attendances.
In response, Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman said the club will"enhance engagement" with fans this summer and next season.
"You do want everybody trying to pull in the same direction," said Slade.
"That's important for any success. My priority is the football, the players and dealing with that. Any off-the-field thing has to be dealt with by the relevant parties."

Cardiff are 13th in the Championship table following Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at Ipswich.

A disappointing season has seen attendances fall sharply, prompting worries from the Supporters Trust.

The Trust has also expressed its concern about leading players such asKenwyne Jones being loaned out recently.

Slade admitted in April that some of the highest earners at the club may be among those to leave at the end of the season.
But speaking after his side's defeat against Ipswich, Slade insists he is still determined to build a side which can compete for promotion.
"We are trying to build here," he said.

"There are two things: the sustainable level we are trying to achieve and, at the same time, we are trying to build to be competitive enough to be in the top six.

"That's our aim. Nothing has changed."

laughable statement.

there is complete disunity at this club and it starts from the man at the top who has no regard for the fans, which filters through to the staff beneath him.

until that changes there will be no unity.

Lets be honest...Tan may have invested Millions into this club but it's broken from top to bottom!!!!

He has treated the fans like sh**e and it's going to be a long time before there is any unity in this club

feel sorry for Slade he's in a no win situation...and as for Dalman and Choo....what do they actually do???

competitive enough to be in the top 6, well for me thats not good enough, at the pre season stage, managers should be aiming high as possible, not top 6, talk about winning the league and promotion, OR does he know whats comming and the cuts to be made, and finishing in the top 6 aint realistic?

Our premier league players including ones that got us there....

Caulker brayford theo Taylor Hudson medel mutch kimbo cowie eikrem berget daehli kenwyne odemwingie cornelius campbell helguson cala smith conway mcnaughton bellamy Zaha Le fondre guerra bergstaller and velikonja.

27 players from when we started the premier league until when we finished, including some of ole's signings for the start of this season. And fans can't accept mid table and say slade is clueless? Then u have the audacity to say challenging for top 6 is not enough???
Our fans have become so ungrateful. We've had some brilliant success the last 7 or 8 years in terms of being near the top and reaching cup finals and now our fans can't accept it's someone else's turn.
All the best players have gone at tans request and people blame slade for not being in the playoffs
