Not a surprise on Maynard, remember he was the big name signing in our promotion season, he was bound to be on a fair wack but at least he is out of contract in the summer.

Pilkington wages seem about right in terms of where he came from and his ability but its not considering his injuries.

Given those figures Whitts on £20K is about right and being as KJ has a decent premiership scoring record, his wages are about right. Pilkington, would have been on at least £15K at Norwich, so again about right, he is probably classed as an above average Championship player, when he actually is fit

None there with enough quality to command even half those wages. Absurd

I thought Whitts would have been on more the number of new contracts he has been given.

we are overpaying on wages relative to where we are in the table.

the problem with overpaying wages is also that you are stuck with them if they prove to be duds or you have to pay them to make them piss off. i cringe at how much money was wasted on dross like berget, dicagoi, le fondre and the like.

thats the one silver lining from tan taking an axe to the budget. hopefully it'll mean players come here for opportunity and not for money as they have been in the past few transfer windows. though that does mean of course that you get an inferior quality of player.
