Borley is just an easy target, it's easy to direct questions behind a keyboard, but the real people you should be asking is Mr Tan, Dalman and Choo.

The problem is you have that crazy woman now involved with the trust #attentionseeker

Trust are a joke

Re: Steve Borley slams trust

Mon Apr 13, 2015 9:58 pm

Never have supported the trust as they seem a waste of time. Doesn't realistically represent the fans views. Since this "Sian" got on board, nothing has been said as they now have nothing to fight for... so my question is not what the Club's long term ambition is, but what is the Trusts Ambition?

Is this how bad it really is, two supposed professional people/organisations bickering over a f*cking social networking sight like children, I'm afraid this is a clear representation of how terrible the communication is between the trust and the club. Pathetic.

I don't pretend to know the answers but something needs to happen to bridge the gap between the board/trust/fans. U told damage was done during the re-brand and ill-fated PL campaign.

It just seems that there is always an undercurrent of dissent bubbling just below the surface.

I read today that the club is regarded as a financial and league failure. No surprise people want answers but maybe Borley is not the one to ask.

We all know who.............

I think the headline is a little harsh on Steve Borley, as he simply defended himself against (as he rightly states) a politically motivated group pertaining to speak for the fans at large!

I'm not sure which Trust Member was behind the 'CCFC Supporters Trust' keyboard tonight, but how they can truly expect Steve to answer the question raised is ridiculous, as we all know only ONE man can do that!

Let's get one thing straight...the "Trust" represent no-one but themselves (and by that I mean the people at their top rather than their limited membership as a whole) and are driven by a desire to promote themselves rather than help the club move forward in any positive way; as their politically-motivated move to put the self-styled fans media spokesperson, Sian Branson, on their Committee proved!

For a 'Group' that contribute so little in real terms to the club and/or its fan base, the 'Trust' appear to make an awful lot of demands, whilst failing to deliver on their own apparent 'promises' to assist in assisting the Community Trust!

AS Steve rightly points out, the real driving force behind any attempts to move forward with both club and fans interests at heart is CCFC_SC and that gives them far more credibility that ever the 'Trust' does IMHO! ;)

Trust can ask for what they want , when SB don't have a say in anything under tan then what difference does a trust board member make. NONE :laughing6:

Correct Ian

Tan has first second and final say in all things to do with the club. Steve still attends all the league meetings on the clubs behalf but aside from that no say in anything whatsoever and doesn't even have a mandate to vote anymore
I see on mikes board they are castigating him over his shares again of which he owns hardly any these days because he sold them back to tan for the price he paid for them.
Don't agree with his Twitter rants a lot of the time but he does genuinely have the clubs interests at heart.

Why should a fan be on the board?
If I invested in or owned a business, then why would I let an outsider come into our meetings?
Board meetings should be strictly confidental and should not be for fans representatives.

Totally agree ,we are just customers ,the club have already set out there plans in the last meeting ,return to blue ,New badge and become more financialy viable in the future ,why do the club every couple of months need to make statement s ?

I'd trust Borley over any fans group.

Re: Steve Borley slams trust

Tue Apr 14, 2015 8:35 am

ridiculous notion to expect to have a say on the football club without any % of fan ownership.

The club is run as a business, Tan believes he can make this club profitable (to sell). That's all the fans are entitled to know. Do I like not knowing what are the plans are for next season, Absolutely not!

Correct!

the 'Swansea' situation is completely different, in that their fans have a percentage of ownership, so it is reasonable they are represented on the Board!

A lot of our fans seem to think the have 'genuine' influence over what the club MUST do at all times! The rest of us live in the real world and see things for what they really are, i.e. that the man who pays the piper can call the tune!

Sian branson done well to keep the blue going which helped us get it back in the end but i've been told she only goes to games now when tickets are free for a prawn sarnie and champagne day out so not even she would get on the board to say any fans views as even if she did they would mean nothing, like steve davies said in this thread. NOBODY has a say which is always the case to the biggest share holder who happens to be the lunatic tan sadly.
