Cardiff fans stories that got in Leeds game

I was one of the 4, whole game was massively uncomfortable if im being honest as didnt expect to be plonked right in the middle of the away end, felt especially uncomfortable after discussing the work that had gone in by many in returning the tickets. I wouldn't say I initially agreed with the stance as I wasnt convinced what it would achieve, however I certainly would never actively have gone and seeked a ticket in the away end, given as a collective we weren't going to be there.
I had a ticket for the home end available, following a flurry of emails. However, I was offered a complimentary ticket via a mutual friend of a player. I wrongly presumed this would be for a more central area and the actual away end was closed. Took the ticket, as thought it would be a bit safer, rather than going solo in the home end. Turned up and ended being in exactly the same place as usual.
If faced with the same situation again I'd probably go for the home end, rather than risk looking like I'd gone against the boycott, even if it was completely unintentional!!
Plus point is the bastards didn't get a penny out of me, in terms of tickets, food or drink and they would've had a nice hefty bill for stewarding/police/staff and general accommodation.
All stewards and police were friendly, but not sure how genuine that was or if it was to give off a certain impression

I went with six mates from mid wales. Hotels etc booked in advance.
We sat in the corner. Nobody rumbled us apart from some old bint behind me.
It was just like an El Classico.
Apart from the atmosphere. The weather. And the football.

I had a freebie in Hospitality so was more than happy with my free meal and ticket along with our usual 3 points at Elland Road.
2 mid table teams but Leeds were totally useless and the crowd was not happy.
chuckle of the game for me was when the home fans behind the goal started chanting to the opposite end of the stadium when they started to get a chant together.
"We forgot that you were here"
That's how poor the atmosphere was.

Sat in the family stand with my kids who had asked a while ago if we could go. Never thought I'd take my kids to the home end of a City away match and certainly not Leeds.
Got to say the atmosphere of the 10 minute walk from the car to the ground was very relaxed. There is always a slight feeling of anxiety heading to an away ground even though nothing ever happens, but it was quite a carefree feeling this time. Every other time at Leeds has been particulalrly fraught with their harder element lining the streets in readiness. But not this time.
In fact the general atmosphere was very subdued, heard no singing of chanting outside of the ground despite large groups of lads drinking in the bars opposite the ground.
We got rumbled early on. A family in front twigged we were not Leeds fans and figured we were there to watch Cardiff. However, nowhere near as tense as the year Willo Flood got a last minute winner and I was sat in the pits of the Don Revie stand gripping the seat with my hands for dear life as he sprinted from the half way line to nab the winner.
We were sat right in line with Morrison for the first. It was like it happened in slow motion and it was never in doubt that we would score as the ball came over the centre of the box. Luckily my kids restrained their cheers but our beaming smiles were enough to shatter the silence of the Yorkshire faithful.
I ran to the bogs to let one out.
A scream, cheer and fist pump that it is.
Which meant I missed their equaliser and did not have to worry about my reaction to their goal. It was also easy to regain my seat as everyone was still stood up waiting for kick off.
The atmosphere was generally good with their fans backing their team. I enjoyed their chant of "You're not singing anymore" as a response to their goal. I read on the other board it was aimed at a few celebrating City fans, but Idisnt see any. I think it was just a witty response to the non-existant away fans. There were a few conversations around us criticising Leeds and West Yorks Police for not letting Cardiif fans in. A draw was a fair representation if the first half.
Second half they started well but it became evident they had no ideas about getting into the box, rarely threatened City's goal and the fans started getting on players backs. The language in the family stand was fairly choice so I can only imaging the abuse dished out to their own players by the other three stands.
City's winner was met by golden silence by the Leeds support. It's still going on now. Sitting back and watching the silent home crowd was a great feeling. Well worth the trek over the Pennines.
The atmosphere then died really. People started leaving on about 88 minutes. A little rousing roar when the board went up but not a lot of belief.
We stayed til the crowd cleared. Did a little Ayatollah and headed home. This time with the Cardiff paraphenalia taken out of the boot and adorning the car once more.
Well, we had to let them know we were there.
Oh, I thought City played well. Deserved the win. They were the better side. Organised at the back and broke well on the counter. Also looked good when holding possession.
Mason looked good once he was dropped back into the hole. Was dissappointed with Doyle who should have scored with the chances he was given. Ralls looked good, does he ever play poorly? And I was pleased with the midfield in general.
