Sorry, but a boycott is a boycott, those there today have made a mockery of all travel groups decision not to travel. I would have been there today but I accepted the decison not to travel, just don't get it :sad7:

Actually, I can see your points and (without deleting my earlier comment) I retract what I said, as I realise how much it would have hurt some very good supporters not to have gone regardless of the result! :notworthy: :notworthy:

without getting into a slanging match on here, it you booked national hotel chains they provide 24 hour free cancellation policies, if it was a bucket hotel chain, did you take out the option of a cancellation insurance for just a few quid as I constantly due on many company business trips per year, got caught out once, lesson learned, never again.

Totally agree hats off to them. I know of a fella that hasn't missed a game home and away for 25+ years, he's travelled up and down the country to support his team no matter what has happened to the club. Why should someone like that not go and watch his team because that tripe from up North are acting like spoilt brats. :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

The boycott was in no way undermined by a few who got trolled into the "away" end. In fact, quite brave of them to stand alone in the home end to start with.

The club's stance has been made perfectly clear. Why turn on the very fans who just went up to use travel arrangements like hotels already paid for?

It's very clever to point out about insurance and cancellation deals after the fact, but maybe some are really trying to make ends meet and save wherever they can. Also, not everyone has a lifestyle where booking hotels is a frequent occurrence.

Lights up a bit fellers. Just saying. :bluescarf:

100% Agree always book the no cancellation fee when lucky to book hotels perhaps that's the valley in me. Respect to those who travelled what crime have they committed? supporting the team they love. :bluescarf:

There was also 9 of us in the East Stand, Leeds fans knew who we were, could have got nasty however they were on our side and said they backed us %100 and their club was out of order. Also said respect them as Leeds fans and they would respect us. So hats off to those few Leeds fans :bluescarf:

So it seems that independent travellers are now bound by the opinions of the great and the good self appointed "leaders". The "we know best" approach of the Trade Union barons of the past?

Grow up guys. That's a ridiculous notion.

And as for booking hotels on a non flexible basis? Could easily add another 40% onto the bill!

It was always going to happen that some of us would end up in the away section after making our way into the home stands.

I am surprised it is not more as I know a lot more than shown were there. Personally I would have like all the regular coaches to go up there without the tickets and park out side the ground. I would have put money on us being rushed into the away end.
