Where did they bring it from? Someone needs to research the link between people who support UKIP and stupidity.

It is in-between funding from Europe and is likely to be re-instated. Yes, that's right, it was European funding that helped to employ thousands of Welsh workers.

Without Europe, where would that funding have come from? Westminster? Not even you guys are stupid enough to believe that.

Labour's record om employment - they've always left power with more people unemployed.

FFS, we gave £14bn last year, and got £6.5bn back, work it out, or is this form of advanced mathematics too much for the knit your own yoghurt brigade.

Without Europe, we'd be alot better off.

Yes, thats right, you're a left wing zealot talking a lot of shit, and us guys are willing to believe it.

Most of those jobs would have been created without the scheme (60 - 70%). So £millions was spent on creating only a few jobs, in comparison. Most of the jobs were created as a result of the improving economy not useless pen pushers in the WAG.

Also if we did not give £billions to the Europeans each year we would have plenty of money to spend on job creation without asking Brussels pen pushers for it.
Why should we have to beg/ask the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels how we spoend OUR money?

Wales gets the eu funding because we have some of the poorest/deprived areas in the EU.

Farage's plan is to cut funding to Scotland and Wales, so that more money gets kept in England.
Wales would struggle hugely without EU handouts.

Owain I wouldn't be surprised by the WAG had a secret agenda to keep some areas of Wales the most deprived in Europe to qualify for the funding. Remember this funding we've had previously was meant to help those areas and have basically been thrown away on shit local projects

No secret agenda, just the incompetence of the labour government running things.

The problem is through that it will go against them if former working class areas suddenly become middle class because the voting patterns would change

Wow, that was a substantive response. You went out of your way to prove my point 8-)

Today, the leader of UKIP in Wales came out on the same side as the religious, gun-wielding, anti-abortion nutters in America.

He did so by declaring that climate change is not man made.

That puts him on the wrong side of 97% of the worlds scientists. But of course, I am thick.

*Please, nobody insinuate that 97% of scientists in the world are part of some big conspiracy to cover the earth in windfarms. Thanks.*

Most labour voters are 60+ and stuck in the 80s. When their dead hopefully that disgusting party will be banished!

On a side note, there needs to be some separation of 'nationalism' and 'racism'. Wanting immigrants to leave/be controlled is more nationalist than racist, as it does not target specific races or nationalities, so I can empathise with the hate that Farage gets there.

I think it's just that so often many of the people who are staunchly nationalist tend to spout things that appear racist (or just are, re; 'bongo bongo land' and Godfrey Bloom).

It's certainly not racist to fly your flag, but to be honest I don't think the views of a blogger/minority Labour figure should enforce your opinions of the party as a whole, just like looking at Godfrey Bloom's explicit remarks should be the basis of your decision of whether or not to vote UKIP.

Ultimately politics is local for your vote, so just look at the best policies for your area and choose that way. Central politics will sort itself out with or without the public consent (i.e. the current coalition).

Agreed, but unfortunately, in many parts of Wales, Labour could introduce a Donkey and they'd vote for it.

The country needs real change and not gimmicks! I'll never vote for the traditional (failure) parties ever again.

To be honest,I don't think there are any political parties out there who are worth a wenk. I come from a family who always voted Labour simply because that's what our family and most Welsh working class families did, there was no other choice, you simply felt obliged to vote Labour !
I often wondered how and why Labour were so different to the other parties as whenever they did get into power nothing ever seemed to change.
Regarding Wales and the Labour party though, what have they actually done for us as a country over the last 50 years ?
