my fears...

Mon Apr 06, 2015 7:54 pm

I fear for us as a club, I really do. I've heard we have sold 2000 seasons for next year- I don't think we will get another 1000 added to that number as it stands with the standard of football and apparent lack of management (in ALL departments ) of the club.

+ A new stand shut within 12 months,

+ season ticket holders so cheesed off they can't face turning up for games - and I don't blame them one bit by the way!

+ the fans that once were renowned for its atmosphere and amazing vocal support either gone or broken to such a degree that thornhill crematorium is a more enjoyable place to be

+ extreme drop in season ticket sales meaning club revenue will be reduced - meaning more cuts of new better players from the squad

It all adds up to a very slippery slope we are sliding down rapidly. I worry that if things stay as they are right now, with no decent signings and manager we will be in a relegation battle next season.

The club is a dead man walking. How things have changed in four years.

This. We have massive potential to be a big club but we're not there yet.

Decent ownership (preferebly fan ownership) and in about 5-6 years we could be a big club.

VT had it within his grasp to make us a massive club.

Yup, but he's completely blown it. I don't think he'll regain trust again.

He will never be trusted again, either by this club or any other football club he is involved in. Despite all his spin (and his supporters/apologists) the rest of the football world have seen him for what he is.

This big club, sleeping giant stuff has been going on for as long as I've supported us. I remember we managed to get forty odd thousand once in my time of following them, and that was for Real Madrid. We are not a big club. During the good times we are a medium sized club alongside the likes of Norwich, Birmingham, Bristol City etc. We have never been a big club.

If we ever establish ourselves in premier yes we will be fairly big on par with maybe Everton, villa, wba ect but who knows ?
