The sun was shining at Cardiff City Stadium but it was a dark day for Russell Slade and his team. Here Steve Tucker tries to shed some light on who was at fault
Cardiff City 0-3 Bolton Wanderers
Cardiff City were thumped by Neil Lennon's Bolton Wanderers as they imploded in the second half to suffer a 3-0 defeat.
Fans poured out of the Cardiff City Stadium the moment Welshman Craig Davies scored Bolton's third, with 15 minutes still to play.
But who was at fault? And who redeemed themselves with a good individual performance amid a dismal team show?
Here Steve Tucker goes through the full Cardiff City ratings and, to be fair, he's not too harsh on the players, who had been on a decent run up until today.
Nobody gets less than four out of 10 and plenty scored 6/10.
DAVID MARSHALL - 5
Beaten three times in the second-half, but the goalkeeper had done little wrong. Might have been more, but for a smart save to deny Davies his hat-trick.
FABIO - 4
Defensively, just about as usual really, the Brazilian was all over the place. Out of position at times and caught very much in two minds at others. He was responsible for at least one of the goals.
BRUNO MANGA - 5
In the first-half, the centre-back looked really good and solid. He cut off lots of service into the box, but capitulated with the rest of his defence in the second period.
SEAN MORRISON - 4
Again he contributed in the second period as the Bluebirds caved in at the back. City have been blessed with some terrific centre-backs in recent years. Not sure Morrison ranks right up there.
SCOTT MALONE - 4
Shaky at times in his defensive duties and caught out on a few occasions. But going forward, the full-back is not even a presence in the slightest.
CRAIG NOONE - 6
It was a much more positive showing from the winger than we have been used to recently. Provided some great service and had a few good pops at goal, even if in the end it came to nothing.
ARON GUNNARSSON - 6
A typical battling showing, and like all his teammates, the Icelander really impressed in the first-half. But come the second, Bolton started to get more of a grip in the middle of the park and disaster followed for Cardiff.
PETER WHITTINGHAM - 5
Again in the first period the midfielder looked brighter than he had for ages, with a lovely range of passing and some good attempts at goal. Shame about the second-half, then.
JOE RALLS - 5
The youngster started out wide then moved into the centre, but failed to satisfy in either position. Still learning, and games like this will surely aid that process.
EOIN DOYLE - 4
The striker works incredibly hard and will run all day, but he just looks to lack that little bit of cuteness at this level that will see him cause Championship defences problems.
ALEX REVELL - 6
He actually played pretty well while he was on the pitch and looked dangerous. So, it was unfortunate when he pulled up with an injury just before half-time.

How Gareth Rogers can give Fabio a 4 and Noone a 6 is baffling. He must be taking whatever Steve Tucker has been taking!

Don't rate Malone, but thought he was one of our better players today and although Gudjonsen's goal came from a move down the left, much of their attacking intent was from the right where Fabio had a poor game.
