Cardiff suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands Bolton at The CCS on Easter Monday. Slade re-introduced Alex Revell into the side after injury, but the striker could not make an impact and was taken off before the first half had ended, much to the fans delight.
This delight did not last however, as The Bluebirds were booed off at full time following a brace from Craig Davies and a goal from Eidur Guodjohnsen, who is having a few weeks to remember.
City had the enough chances to score in the first half, with Revell, Doyle and Whittingham al going close before the break. However it was Bolton who struck first and Guodjohnsen fired a half-volley past the helpless Marshall on 55 minutes. The Trotters scored again four minutes later, when Davies scored his second of the game, with another good finish. The third went in on 73 minutes, when Davies scored again, much to the fans dismay, they started to flood for the exits and Cardiff could not muster up anything in return.
Cardiff somehow still sit in 13th in the table, but their unbeaten run comes to an end, with this result being the biggest defeat at home under Slade this season.
