Absolutely Appaling/My Veiw

I really thought we would keep our form going today with a comfortable won over a struggling Bolton side, how wrong could I be. I honestly don't know how to describe by far our worst performance and result of the season. This horror show means that twice this season Bolton have walked all over us and won 3-0. Embarrassing.

Credit to Bolton, they came here with a plan and they put it into place expertly. There 400 travelling fans were a credit to their club and out-sang our lot throughout.

City started fairly brightly and had a goal disallowed through Doyle. Bolton came back into it towards the end of the first period, I would say it was even. It was great to see Joe Mason playing at CCS again, he came on for Revell on 37 minutes. In truth he was fairly poor.

No one does nothing to deserve a place in the team. He's greedy and his end product is appalling. I hope we cash in on him during the summer.

Bolton were well organised and seemed a pretty tidy team, they took the lead on 55 minutes when GudJhonsen hit a brilliant half volley into the top corner.

They doubled the lead within 5 minutes with a break away goal from Wales international Craig Davies. By this time city fans were leaving in their droves.

I think Bolton scored the 3rd through Davies again with a brilliant curling effort.

City were absolutely awful today and offered very little in attack. We simply don't create enough clear cut chances, which is something we must work on. What I didn't understand was the fact that we persisted with swinging in balls over the head of small strikers like Mason and Doyle. It doesn't make sense.

Ah well, Leeds on Saturday. To make my day, I found put the news that I can't go to that either! Surely it can only get better!

No they didn't out sing us all game !!!!

It was like a pre-season friendly until they scored THEN their fans started singing .

They made a fair noise throughout the game, I thought. For a group of 400, I thought they were quite loud,

They only sung when they were winning.
But City fans were also very quite for 99% of the game.
City fans were loud in sections with Slade out.

The Bolton fans were as quiet as mice,,,until they scored. As for them having a game plan, well I thought they looked a below average team, one we should have thrashed by half time, which makes the result even more frustrating.

We were very very poor today (again). :angry4:

Slade Out!!! :old: :old: :old:

We failed to capitalise on our first half chances.

I think Noone stll thought KWJ was playing with all the crosses.

We need to be more direct in attack.

Bolton Fans were very quiet, until they scored

That was a long way from our worst performance of the season! Bournemouth, Rotherham, Brentford, Watford and Reading were far worse! However the second half was very poor and was yet another glaring reminder that Slade is totally out of his depth!

You're wrong, I am one of the hardcore. I very rarely go anymore, as do very few others that made up the 2-4,000 old regulars..an afternoon in the pub today was far more appealing than spending 60/80 quid on a day out down the City. Sad but true...

How can you claim to be hardcore then? You may have been in the past but clearly not now.

I feel for all the positivists in our fan base. God there are enough on this forum and they come out of the woodwork in droves after a draw, let alone a win. They look for every possible sign of positive development. I think I must have heard it all by now! ....."Doesn't fat Russ look a lot slimmer", ""Wer'e undefeated in two games now"" ""Wow, Whitts actually didnt fall asleep in this game"" and ""Revell and Doyle are definitely improving, they're starting to attack the opposition net instead of our own". If there were a nuclear attack on Leckwith I'm sure they would only look upon this with hope. "Hey, think of all the high earners we're clearing out" I hear them say.

I jest; I love them all! Yet of course I fear for their sanity. Next we'll hear is, "Peter Whittingham, he helped a little old lady load her groceries in her car when shopping in Asda. Another great assist!".

Pity help them .....cue Pembroke Alken and Wez! :P

Id consider my self a hardcore fan or diehard however the last few years have tested me. I was there every home game under Ashurst and Durban along with 2000 others. I've been in exile since 1989 yet have had a season ticket for a fair few of those years. Sadly tan and his rebrand have ripped the heart out of the club. This year I've been to 2 homes and 3 aways. We are awful and gave an awful manager. Until Slade departs there is no hope.

i thought the desertion from 80 mins onwards from the 'hardcore' city fans in the canton stand was an embarrassment.

you expect such fickle behaviour from the family stand but i was taken aback at how few actually made it to the end. bolton area a poor side and you know things are bad when emile heskey is looking like a cut above your own strikers!

I can no longer justify spending that amount of money on a day out down the City. And no, it wouldn't make any difference if we were in the Premier League.

Everyone is entitled to do what they want, but a hardcore fan can't be somebody who has given up going. There have been worse times at City and most of the reasons given for giving up seem to be based on what is going to happen rather than what already has. We are still a championship club, probably our natural level at best. But sometimes it's easier to walk away than see it through - I get that. Each to their own.

The Hardcore has watched worse FOOTBALL f**k remember our centenary season  , even watching good old lethal Lynex kicking it over the old canton stand  :) :o it was funny
shocking football we dreamed of crowds of 10,000
but now there is just something totally wrong at the moment :?
there seems/feels like its them against us
them being - the owner, people running the club, the manager, the stewards, the stadium ego manager and most of the players are so NEW they don't know Cardiff City passion yet
We will never succeed like this
The supporters club, Trust etc should be meeting with the club WEEKLY and discuss everything the get the unity back :bluescarf:
Prices, stewarding  , family stand/aways fans, stupid 5 year ban threats for doing nothing, etc etc etc everything should be discussed.
We will struggle to get 10,000 next year it just ain`t fun anymore and people sick of the ego bullshite

Excellent post, most of the people I know from the Rhondda stopped going once we left Ninian Park. Sadly, I don't think they'll EVER come back.
