" Interesting Statistics "

Mon Apr 06, 2015 12:11 pm

Just thought I would put a bit of positivity onto this board..

Our form from the last 10 games is as follows:

4 wins
4 draws
2 losses
16 points

Now if we kept this up for the whole of the season up to this point (40 games played) that would put us on 64 points and still in contention for play offs (68 points would get us there).

Put into consideration a better morale from the players over the season and points being taken off our promotion rivals we could have already made the play offs.

Is Slade doing as bad of a job as people are making out? I think he deserves the whole pre season with the players and a good season that we get behind both the manager and the players. Imagine where we would be if we got off his back and supported the guy.

I'll back him mate same as I always do

Deserves a pre season at least gonna be another clear out though which makes the job tougher to get your first eleven for new season

Hopefully he gets 5/6 players in early so he's got his side ready for new season

I'd ask everton for mcaleny again next season as well

people only want to see what they want and never look at possible reasons for positon we are in, like losing talented players, manager come in after season started ect ect! people expect us to be promotion material regardless of situation its so unrealistic its untrue! :o

What manager with any self respect would have taken this job? With the conditions Slade was given, oh I know RS.

We need to get rid of Slade for the style of play and get in a manager that plays good attractive football and instill it through the club. :thumbright:

I'm all for positivity during such bleak times but some things are so obvious they can't be ignored, Slade is totally out of his depth. His 20 years in management prior to coming here was nothing to get excited about and since arriving he has been a disaster. Some wanted to give Ole a pre season and backing and look how that turned out! Sometimes you've just got to admit that no matter how long a person is in a job, or no matter the backing they receive, they're just not good enough.
