THE STANDARD OF FOOTBALL

Does the standard of football count during a season? Are you happy for Cardiff City to get a result regardless as to how they played?Would you be happy to watch them for a whole season as a season ticket holder and watch very poor football but just see Cardiff city survive?Do you believe that you pay good money to watch them so you are entitled to see a certain standard of football ?WHAT are YOUR views

The standard of our football has been been abysmal this season and probably the worse for a decade. Yes, it has improved slightly since Trollope has come in but you cannot expect to off load all your quality players and survive on cheap average players.

Thousands of season ticket holders have voted with their feet and have shown their thoughts about the standard of football by not turning up to games week in week out even though they have paid for their tickets. Football should be entertaining hence its not all about the result. Many fans will consider why they should pay good money when you can see the same standard of football out on a Sunday morning.

Unfortunately City have not been providing a quality product to intice fans to the CCS since the club decided to off loaded the better players in a drastic cost cutting excercise. The purse strings needed to be pulled in but has it gone too far?

Personally, standard of football I don't care about. Attitude I do. I appreciate cost cutting needs to be made but if that is needed then why not invest in hungry youth? I just don't get the business plan. Seems a bit too much like a clearance sale to set up Tan's departure. We should be giving the likes of Matt Kennedy, Declan John and Rhys Healey starts for the remainder of this season. Not benching them and shipping them out on loan. It's inexplicable. If something was at stake or if the current batch were flying then so be it but we are mid-table with nothing to play for. Try something new ffs.
