' WE NEED TO CREATE MORE '

Sat Apr 04, 2015 4:34 pm

It was a poor performance from Cardiff City over the course over the 90 minutes, we lacked creativity especially from the centre of the pitch, Gunnarsson was static and Whittingham didn't venture further than 10 yards away from him. I feel this was the main reason for a lacklustre performance, we simply could not get enough ball to wide areas of the pitch or to the front two.

Conor McAleny could not make an impact in his number 10 role because he weren't getting the ball, only in the second half when he went deep or out wide he was able to have some influence on the game.

City snatched a point today at the death and as glad as I am that we are unbeaten in four on the road, had we lost we would have had very little to complain about.

Craig Noone is a player that I expect more from and what he is offering the team this season I don't think he deserves a place in the starting line up, too many times Noone pulls out of 50/50 challenges and again today he was guilty of it, when he has the ball at his feet out wide he elects to come inside and not take the ball to the byline, in short Noone is predictable.

The goal we conceded was embarrassing for a number of players, especially Fabio and Ralls who were caught ball watching and stood still while a Reading wide player took advantage to head the ball back across our six yard box to set up a tap in for Reading to score.

Our equaliser was a superb 18 yard strike from McAleny after goid work from Gunnarsson, who in the last ten minutes, starting venturing forward.

City fans were in good voice this afternoon and supported the boys throughout and it was sweet to get a point when all seemed lost and Reading fans were enjoying their taunts of 'we are going to Wembley' but we replied with 'we've been there four times'

Overall a poor game of football that lacked quality but we nicked a point at the end.

Carl, then Slade needs to sort the midfield out and have a plan :thumbright:

Fair write up. Noone for me was our worst player - weak, predictable and Lost the ball time and time again, kennedy deserves to ststart.

When we seem to get the ball, we panic and hoof it or when there is a chance on, we take way too long with the pass .... Then it goes back for the hoof ball.
We need a few more quicker players :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

God our midfield is crap. Its been the same all season. I'd certainly keep Gunnar and Ralls but we need to inject some quality and energy into it soon otherwise next season will be a write off much like this one has been.

Yep, poor game and 2 very average teams. Federico was actually out at half time warming up as we didn't have a shot. We have improved but are poor to watch and create hardly anything.

The Noone horror show has been continued then, remarkable he will keep his place right till the end of the season

The main problem is Spades fixation with 442.We keep being over run in midfield, Gunners and Whits don't do enough on there own we need an extra body in there.Although the possession stats yesterday were better.
