The club have stated that Rhys Healey will go back to Colchester to complete his loan deal, what a bizarre series of events, we recalled him so he could get more game time, tried to loan him to Newport, now loan him back to the club we recalled him from.
Anyway, this is from the official site :
Cardiff City Football Club is pleased to confirm that Rhys Healey will complete his season-long loan spell at Colchester United.
We wish Rhys the best of luck for the season's remaining games and look forward to further monitoring his development.

Bizarre isn't it.
I don't think there are too many at the club who knows exactly what is happening so how we as fans are expected to know what the plan or the vision is I honestly don't know.

I would assume Newport messed up the paperwork meaning international clearance wasn't granted in time.

This is exactly the type of young player we should be retaining.
We're short on strikers, we need to evaluate his usefulness to us for next season.
This is almost like saying Colchester will do a better job of developing him than we could.
Most clubs only loan out players when it makes good sense. In what way is that the case with Healey. We seem to work in favour of other sides without considering our own needs and least of all the well being of our own support.
I was actually looking forward to hopefully seeing him start at Reading, or at least get some game time. Once again the shines been taken right off a match by dodgy decisions.

With Mason back he's less likely to get game time with us and will certainly play more out on loan than with us. Pre season he should get his chance. Even with Revell and Macheda out he's 4th choice

The club and players gave him a big send off last week, now he's already going back

People overreacting here, although strange why they called him back things obv went wrong with Newport deal but joe mason is back, we have four strikers now and people complain about Doyle not getting enough game time. Healy has a better chance of playing at Colchester and then to come back and make a push for the first team squad next season.
