A forum for all things Cardiff City

“It’s been a real shame and a really disappointing season. The dressing room hasn’t been a good place to be. I get unfair impressions on my style of play, but the reality is that it’s the way the gaffer has decided he wants to play the game. The lads are playing for their careers and the playing style is hampering them.
I was told after the Birmingham game that it would be my last game for Cardiff this season because one more appearance would trigger a new contract. It’s a shame how things have worked out there. It was an exciting opportunity when it arose. Nothing surprises me in football these days.
I have been so impressed with the way Bournemouth want to play the game, it’s like a breath of fresh air. The lads and gaffer have been great with me since the first minute. I just hope I can play a part in helping them across the line.”

It's from an interview he did with Radio Solent, I believe parts of that interview were published in the Bournemouth press and subsequently by the Echo.
This comes from the same interview but hadn't be published until now.

The sad reality is that football is a business and we can't afford to give KJ a new contract.
Can see now why he has said his goodbyes.
On the rest of it he would have been better off saying nothing.
Especially after what happened with him at Stoke.
He won't be do his reputation any good

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is best manager I've worked with, says Kenwyne Jones
KENWYNE JONES claims Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is the best manager he has ever worked for.
Jones only joined the Championship leaders on loan from Cardiff last week but Howe has made an instant impression on the former Sunderland, Stoke and Southampton star.
The striker's old gaffers include Tony Pulis and Harry Redknapp.
But ahead of today's clash at Ipswich he reckons 37-year-old Howe tops the lot.
"On the club front for me, without fail, Eddie is the best manager I have worked with," he said.
"It is a big statement but that is the type of impression he's made on me.
"It's been a short time but I am very much impressed with his work rate and attention to details and philosophy.
"The manager is sure in what he wants and what will fit so the fans have more reason to back him 100 per cent for whatever decisions he makes because I don't think he has put a foot wrong this season.
"I am happy to sneak in here and be part of it for a small time. It's all about trying to get the guys over the line.
"Hopefully I will be able to lend them some experience and, of course, get them promoted.
"Bournemouth have been the best team in the league all season and deserve to go up as champions. They are not interested in finishing second."
Jones will make his debut at today after admitting he is glad to escape the Cardiff mad-house.
He said: "I didn't think there was a lot that could surprise me in football any more but this actually did.
"It took place in half-an-hour and I am still trying to understand how it came about.
"I don't know if I've played my last game for Cardiff. Whatever the thought process it's not down to me.
"We've been dealing with a funny situation all season. Football is a short business and you have to make the best of it and things like this happen.
"It's been very topsy-turvey at Cardiff since the beginning of the season.
"Until now we have lost managers, changed managers, lost managers, changed managers and then we've had the uprooting of players going as well. The team has been unstable all season."
