RUMOUR: The reason Kenwyne Jones was loaned to Bournemouth was 1 more game would have triggered an automatic contract renewal clause (From a source close to Bournemouth)

Not nice to see a professional player criticising his previous club, no need, as no one has been slagging him off. I don't mind KJ and thought he was an above average performer for us, however he was an expensive extravagance, giving where the club is now. There was no way that the club, should even have entertained giving him another contract on that sort of money, so good on them for moving him on.

nothing wrong with kenwyne, its slade (and his style of play) we want to get rid of

Unfortunately, some fans will not have a bad word said about Slade but there is no doubt that he has taken us backwards. We are fortunate that Trollope has come to his rescue over the past month. Prior to that we were playing the worst football for a decade and that's why thousands of ST holders stopped coming to watch the games.

A poor manager and shipping out all of your quality does not help attract fans as there is clearly no ambition to get promoted. The club needed to address the finances but has it gone too far? Based on the current squad & the manager there is no way we will be in the top half of the table next season. I hope I'm wrong but I think under Slade we will be fighting to avoid relegation next season.

It now makes perfect sense! Other things I've heard relating to not starting KJ because of the bonuses.

Jones is not a headless chicken but he is the club's top scorer ! He also wins everything in the air. Yes, we could do without Jones on the wage bill but it now makes sense why Slade repeatedly dropped him to the bench even when he was scoring.

he was on almost 1 goal in every 2 games. he was a fans favourite and one of the few players to have shown any quality this season. le fondre would be on a similar salary and he was nowhere near as good as jones.
