According to L’Équipe, St Étienne are in the process of trying to convince full-back Kevin Theophile Catherine to remain at the club past his loan spell from Cardiff City.
ASSE have a €2m buy-out option in their loan deal and want to activate it, but they need to convince the player first in order to do so.

Will be good news as I would predict he is on a big wage.

He's probably on a high wage, would have been good for us this season though I think. Is brayford stilll a cardiff player or did he make the move to sheffield perminant? i've lost track our squad situation is ridiculous with 40 odd players.

Brayford has gone.
I wasn't a Theophile fan but agree he would have been an asset this season, just wages are the problem, he is certainly way ahead of players like Peltier but then I guess you get what you pay for.

I bet Cardiff want them to keep him too!
Anything to get him off the wage bill - probably give him away on a free if they have to.

2 million euros food business for us our money back for him

Another example of the shambolic way the club has been run since I started watching in 1965. Some great times along the way though.

Would suit club, player and (many) fans, I think!

I prefer Peltier and Fabio.
So good news if we can offload AND get a decent fee.
Hopefully there will be other interest too and we can bump the price up

Anyone know how much his wages are?

Do you actually prefer peltier or are you concerning the wage?

If we can get any money for KTC then we've done well. We got rid of better than this very average player for nothing. Don't believe he would have done anything in this league. Good luck to him but won't be missed unfortunately.

I agree, as IMO Peltier is far and away the better defender, although I think that KTC is better offensively!

Has anyone any idea on his wages?

Yes I prefer Peltier.
KTC lost his way after a decent start and players like Connolly, Taylor and McNaughton were chosen before him by Malky and Ole.
Peltier and Fabio are the best full backs we've had since Superkevs form dropped.
Peltier wins over KTC in
Positioning
Strength
Heading
Communication/ organisation
Tackling
Leadership
KTC wins on
Fitness
Pace
Passing- both average
Crossing, KTCs was mostly hopeless and Peltier hasn't put many in yet.
Playing in France will probably suit KTC better and let's not forget he was young and a long way from home.
I like Peltier and I think he's really helped get our back 4 more solid and organised.

Fair enough
I'm not a fan of either but I'd have been interested to see how KTC would have got on in the championship if his wages were reasonable.

I don't think players of Peltiers calibre will get us up.
Hopefully I'm wrong

I think in the championship a solid back 4 is essential. Our problem are with creative and attacking players

Totally agree, a bottom half championship player.
