How many of you know what this is, i was shocked that you do not need a passport ,no wonder all of Europe is in the mess its in with migration ,google it take a look, bet 8 out of ten don,t know you can do that .

When I used to dive through Holland to Germany you had to go through border control on the Dutch/German border. That was abolished years ago.

Just like we don't need a passport to travel to england, Scotland, Ireland and n. Ireland.

Don't see what this has to do with immigration really.

Didn't know what it was called but it was widely publicised when it happened.

Doesn't affect the UK though, we've opted out apart from the police security and judicial cooperation section.

Its got a lot to do with immigration ,the illegal ones that are all at Calais trying to get in our country would not get that far ,plus it would stop say someone who has a criminal record for killing someone getting here in the first place which could only be a good thing wouldn't it .

But you can travel to and from the UK using a European ID card - so no need for a passport.

My German mates do it all the time.
