We have the best chance of qualifying for a tournament in decades and there are some really sensible posts here....

Every Welsh Football fan should be able to walk through our nation with both PRIDE and passion for their club and country without the fear of Bullying and intimidation or even violence, after all we don't do this to wearers of Arsenal, Mancs or Scousers shirts!!!
Cardiff and Swansea fans have built some major bridges over the last few years mainly due to the untimely deaths of Terry Coles and Mike Dye. We need to keep moving forward.
I am not saying Cardiff, Swansea, Newport or Wrexham fans will ever be the best of friends but on International Matches we are ONE small nation defying all the odds standing shoulder to shoulder together for the cause and should we qualify we will need to show unity and start sticking together NOW or we could end up disgracing our Country and the clubs we love on one of the worlds biggest stages.
I am a born and bred Cardiff City Fan and the club games I have always enjoyed more than most are derby's. Win or Lose the passion, excitement, atmosphere and banter when we play Swansea, Newport or Wrexham (oh and Bristol shity) has always been better and louder than any other teams to come to Ninian Park or CCS and I am sure fans of those clubs could feel the same when we go to their grounds. For 90 minutes I shout, scream and sing for the glory of my team, after the game lets have a pint together and more friendly banter!!!!!
Unfortunately most of us grew up with violence, fear and intimidation at games which like the dinosaurs should be left on the shelf in history books.I want to be able to walk through Swansea wearing my Welsh shirt with Pride and not worry that my accent will get my arse kicked and our Welsh brothers should also be able to walk through Cardiff with no fear of intimidation either. This Beautiful country belongs to us all!!!!!!
I never believed Coleman could get us this far but he had big boots to fill after Gary. Let us try and all stand together and become the Fans that the world will be talking about after France for the right reasons, For Pride, Passion, Togetherness and Partying like we actually won the tournament after every game (we might never qualify again).
I know Swansea fans read this forum so feel free to post this on your boards as well as fans from other Welsh clubs
Lets unify for Mike, for Terry, for every passionate Welsh fan whether family or friend that will be watching from above and For Gary Speed and OUR beloved Wales

What I know we are getting on as a whole nation for the football
Why is this in blue anyway ? Be better if it was red for wales not blue for Cardiff surely

Good post, I am Scottish but grew up in Swansea and it's always puzzled me that the Scottish fans can stand together when it comes to the national team, yet there are issues with the Welsh fans.
It could well take years to change the mentality of some folk but you have to start somewhere.
For what it's worth, my lad is born and bred Welsh and he'll be 16 next year, it would be great to take him over to France to watch Wales in a major tournament without that doubt in the back of my mind...and hopefully Scotland will be there too.

I don't think the younger generation are as tribal as the elder

Only issues i see is outside the time game takes place, just like all other fans of other countries who have inter city rivalries! Once in stadium for games no such rivalry, except for mindless minority exists! This goes for all countries
