DO YOU WANT ANY OF THEM BACK FOR NEXT SEASON ?
They all still have contracts with City.
" Kenwyne Jones, Matt Connolly and Adam Le Fondre "

Steve Tucker reacts after Kenwyne Jones is loaned to Championship table-toppers AFC Bournemouth in a deal which is said to have made financial sense for the club
" Kenwyne Jones, Matt Connolly and Adam Le Fondre "
Cardiff City fans can seemingly only look on now as their side is effectively dismantled before their very eyes.
The news top-scorer Kenwyne Jones is set to move out on-loan to Championship-toppers Bournemouth seems to have been greeted by little more than a weary shrug by the battle-weary Bluebirds faithful.
The news about Jones comes hot on the heels of the move of Matthew Connolly to high-flying Watford, the defender was always a stalwart performer for the Bluebirds, if barely a star name, but his departure too sent out desperate signals.
We had already had to digest the bizarre statements regarding Adam Le Fondre and his loan move to Bolton. Can a man playing virtually every second for a side actually go out on loan in search of even more football?
More likely the large loan fees Cardiff are pocketing for the departures is at the core of things, they are as clear a sign as you can get of the slashing of budgets within the club and what the repercussions are likely to be.
Let’s be honest, Jones was hardly a favourite at Cardiff, barely the type to endear himself to supporters, but what he was in a way was one of the last vestiges of the club as a Premier League force.
The hit-man, who has seemed the only man capable of regularly scoring throughout this wretched season, still has that aura of class about him, a top-flight temperament and attitude and perhaps he is set to regain that status with the Cherries.
Cardiff fans will not be hit hard in emotional terms by Jones’ departure, they are used to losing top-scorers after all, but this is not in the John Toshack class at all.
What it is though is a declaration of intent or is that lack of it at the capital club?
A return to blue the Bluebirds we may have had, but in its wake a return to austerity too. Some might say it is welcome with the club pushing debt levels to unprecedented extremes even it is now virtually all owed to billionaire owner Vincent Tan.
But what the off-loading of Jones and Connolly and the rest really indicates is that the push for the Premier League is off at the club, for how long no one knows, but one senses it could be a while.
Cardiff now have in place in Russell Slade a manager more used to the rigours of League One, you fear his first aim next season will be ensuring the Bluebirds do not drop into it.
The Cardiff side next term will be workman-like and, what it will lack in skill, it should make up for in commitment. The summer is sure to bring more of a talent-drain star centre-half Bruno Manga seems almost certain to depart, indeed is his replacement already being lined up after the arrival on loan of Arsenal youngster Semi Ajayi? And what price goalkeeper David Marshall? Put it this way, if Jones can go, it is open season.
The standard of the signings this coming summer has already been signalled by the quality of the players Slade has already brought in this term. There is a gamble on players yet to excel at this level somehow making the grade. Strikers Eoin Doyle and Alex Revell spring to mind.
Or perhaps, more realistically, that those who did not quite make the grade at Premier League level can drop down and do the business. Matthew Kennedy from Everton is already giving promising indications in that direction.
What is without doubt, is that as Jones hits the exit at the Bluebirds the ‘glory days’ go with him. It is apt he has gone to Bournemouth as it is to the Cherries that the Bluebirds will look to when it comes to inspiration in the Championship next season.
The Bluebirds are the plucky under-dogs now, the days of being the Championship ‘big boys’ are over. Some will be glad of it too whilst others will wonder how this state of affairs was ever allowed to happen.

Isn't it obvious ? it's Tan getting his own back. All that "Tan out" Give us back our Identity, give us back our Blue give us back our Bluebird, how dare he piss on our identity ? "We would rather play in the third division with our identity, blue kit with a bluebird badge, Keep your red kit, Premier division and money WE DON'T WANT IT, FECK OFF HOME. After all what has he ever done for us ?
We've got it all back, Blue kit, Bluebird badge and a shit team.
We'll drop like Coventry and Portsmouth. I wonder how those fans would have reacted to a multi million pound investor ?
Anyway its going to be great, bring on the good old days Cardiff losing to Newport on a Tuesday night in front of a 4000 crowd can't wait

Cheer up! It won't neccessarily be that bad. Besides, we had a shit team in the Premier League, by those standards. We're comfortably mid-table in the second division.

Wouldn't mind Connolly back and he is a useful player to have in the squad and could easily justify being a regular first teamer (at CB though not full back).
Jones and Le Fondre should be sold on.

I'd be happy with a mid-table season next year so long as the football was entertaining, we have promising players in the team and you can see the progress being made.

An absolute brilliant post which sums everything up. And the reason why my 50 year love affair with Cardiff City is coming to an end.The club is in freefall; the team is poor and looks like getting worse; Ali drives me mad with his pathetic "Support the Boys-make some noise" drivel and our naïve supporters who have pissed off our only hope of salvation sicken me as well.

Absolutely spot on. After 49 years of supporting this club I have just lost the enthusiasm to carry on. And if I decide not to renew, like most of my friends have already decided, no doubt my loyalty will be questioned, in many cases by some who decided to stay at home when we played in red - real fans!!!. Many of those who chanted abuse at Tan have no idea what life, and football, is like in the lower divisions where clubs struggle to survive - like us when the supporters had to chip in to buy a crap player like Kurt Nogan to try to stave off relegation. I fear that we will all know again soon. But hey, we have our colour back.

You may well be right, i have been wondering what Tan is up to, Premier club last season, and he wanted to go straight back up, however one thing i do know about his Culture, and that is Do Not Disrespect them, or do so at your peril. I work in Tele comms and Chineese companies are a pain to work for, Any way back to Tan, he believes that we Cardiff fans have disrespected him, so now he is teaching us a big lesson, he brings in a Yes man with no experience to manage us, gets rid of our stars, with more to follow, buys average 3rd division players, but gives us our badge and colours back, in other words you got what you wanted but you get jack shit from me, for now, Or is he just using the Jacks model, starting from nothing, but to do that you need a decent manager not the clown we have.
Bit remember this is our club and we are suporters so we should support the team what ever happens just like those Pompey fans
