Not business ones.
The manager should think purely in footballing terms. He should be a pain in the backside of the owner in trying to get money to spend. The manager should enthuse fans with hope and not "it was a business decision" bollocks. Slade is not his own man and will never be a success here.

He had his terms of reference when he signed up and is delivering accordingly. He wouldn't be my choice of manager but he's running the club in accordance with the owners business plan, as per every manager. Do you think Tan promised him a blank chequebook then changed his mind? Slade knew what he had to do and that the player turnaround was going to be huge. This "yes man" talk is drama queen bollocks.

Nice one Carps!
Slade had a clear remit when he came in. To be fair to him (although I'm no fan), he has managed to steer the ship to safety, despite swingeing cuts/changes.
At the end of all this turmoil, I have a genuine belief that the situation will be stable and allow for progression.

Slade has signed some very promising players. This summer will be crucial. Keeping Marshall and Manga and adding quality to the squad. Sign McAleny and Luongo. I agree that Slade has totally carried out Vinnie' s agenda, but we did need to cut back on a huge squad. Some mistakes though, like Daehli and Connolly.
