I met Joe Jordan many years later and asked him about that hand ball and he simply said it was a long time ago and we should all move on. Was he right?
Fond memories, it does make you question, like many others on this forum as to whether the so called good times will ever return. I don't think so.

I was also there, hemmed up in the top corner of the Kop. True about the WFA, they stitched us up!

Me too. Will never forgive him simply because of his celebration in cheating his way to the penalty. It would be a bit naïve to expect him to say "no penalty ref, it was me who handled the ball" but the clenched fist celebration was just taking the piss.

One hell of a experience and felt cheated big time as 98% of the fans were Scots and we welsh fans were pushed tight in to the corner of the Kop, subjected to bottles , etc being thrown at us, dozens of bottles in the air at any one time . The atmosphere in and outside the ground was horrible and dominated by the Jocks, who were seeking out any welsh fans. As for the football Joes Jordons hand ball will always dominate the thoughts of that match and how we were robbed .
