A forum for all things Cardiff City

With the slow/static uptake of season ticket renewals I think the club need to tell the fans what their intentions/ambitions are.
They quoted in the renewal letter that "our desire to return to the top flight remains". To many fans it certainly does not look like that with the transfer activity over recent months and now with rumours circulating about the possibility of players like Manga leaving in the summer. I suspect many fans have been put off by the dire football as well as the loss of quality players.
I think the club would get more credit if they came out and confirmed their intentions/ambitions. Surely it is better to come out and say if the club's intentions includes cost cutting & rebuilding over the next 2/3 years rather than come out with the above statement and then strip the club of all of its quality players who could achieve their "desire". The club's words don't appear to match their actions.

be careful though, according to some it's disloyal to ask the club to expand on the ambitions of 2015-16

Be honest, tell the fan-base you are to use youth players and are building for the future, put a positive spin on it, you want to entertain the fans with a young fearless team but be honest CCFC + chuck a few quid off so we can all cost cut in unity, club & fans

I see that WalesOnline have done an article today on exactly the same point. The club need to come out an be honest about their intentions. They seem to be saying one thing and doing exactly the opposite.
Let fans know what their plans are. How do you expect fans to buy into something when they do not know what they are buying into?

Totally agree. If anything has been learned from this rebrand incident it's that the Cardiff fans just ultimately value honesty and effort. The genuine Cardiff fans that is. If the club said the truth about the finances and said we needed to invest in youth then I think the fans would appreciate and respect that.
