How much longer is this guy going to keep his head buried in the sand.He has just come out and publicly said that the Birmingham problems were the first of it's kind at the ccs!! "BULLSHIT" my mates son had coins thrown at him from Norwich fans a couple of seasons ago. Also a few other clubs have tried to intimidate and harass families in that area.Get those families moved nash before something nasty happens. It's not about penny pinching,it's all about the safety of the fans.

TOTALLY AGREE ! What's it gonna take a serious injury to a child or their parent? Big test to come when Millwall come down in April and I don't think the Club can afford to take any chances. Wouldn't surprise me to see away fans being moved to the Ninian Upper Tier sometime in the future.

If they moved them up there tezza

can you imagine the shit coming down from there

Like Brum & leeds away.

I take my two young daughters in the family stand and if I can only get tickets in the block nearest the away fans then I stay at home.
Question to Wayne Nash - would you use your own kids as a shield?

It's a valid point. Switch the ends and just put additional safety barriers up. Fence it from floor to roof if needs be.

I will never trust fans that are located above me since Italy away.I've never seen so much shit being thrown down in my life. They threw a lambretta scooter down during one game

As I have stated before it dosent need any of that. We all know that the CCTV at the stadium is first class and you can't get away with shit. Everyone involved on Saturday will have there coolers felt. Only a fool would try and cause trouble at the CCS or throw stuff so on that point of view the club has it covered. There is NO excuse why they can't swap the ends around none at all.

Agreed Nukes, CCTV is the biggest deterrent to trouble

Surely it's too late for them to do it for next as season as people have probably renewed in the fam stand already
I'm all for it as it would create abit of atmosphere between fans
But the way I see the clubs see it as they would have to get more police and stewards
And we've all seen the cuts in the money recently

nothing to do with wayne nash he has no authority to change the ends at all. the decision was made at planning stage to house the away fans where they are and were approved by the police and council safety commitee prior to the safety certificate being granted for the stadium.
the police will not allow the family stand to be switched to the opposite end of the stadium and the club would not want the additional police costs involved even if it were allowed. but carry on blaming nashy if it makes you feel better but alternatively you could encourage the lads in the canton stand to relocate to the ninian which coincidentally is next to the away fans to create a hostile enviroment for next season because lets face it at the moment there will be loads of empty seats

Always found him a top bloke. All we need is a much bigger no mans land. Plenty of empty seats to get that done next season.

The no mans land was fairly big on Saturday, on both sides, though bigger between the Birmingham fans and the Ninian. Think the Blues fans caught everybody by surprise.

Took my 5 year old to his first game against Wolves, really close to the away fans in my first visit to the family stand. He was in tears after 5 mins and wanted to get out of the stadium. And no, it wasn't cos of the crap football on the pitch, it was the vile aggressive gesturing and taunting aimed our way. I have no problem with the away fans doing that, but to families? Out of order, but really the blame lies with whoever puts families like us next to the away fans. A child will get hurt soon. Its irresponsible beyond.
I wrote to the club about it today, though not holding my breath.
If I don't renew next season, this will be my main reason, not the other off field nonsense we have been accustomed to, or the dirge of a season we have had, its something the club can control, and thats to move families as far away as possible from the away fans.

Additional police costs ?
How much is a child's life worth ?

Well said mate,Carl said it costs £400,000 a season in extra costs to change ends
Atmosphere will improve and families and children wont get insulted or hurt
Tue Mar 24, 2015 4:51 pm
I don't know any other club who have a family stand next to the away fans. There might be some, but it won't be many if any! If you aren't going to move them, then put a net up between the ends.

Spot on and as you say plenty of spare seats that side of the ninian or n the red seats near them above, they are never going to swop ends...........

Can't believe the over reaction on here. Me and my two boys, 12 and 11 have been sat in the block next to away fans since the stadium opened and have encountered virtually no problems whatsoever with the exception of overly aggressive posturing, of which most of the teenagers and many of the parents in the family end are guilty of themselves.
Half the time you see parents acting like kids giving it the big I am to the away fans, and then unsurprisingly kids around them follow suit. There's a kid no older than 10 in front of me who spends most of every game stood on his seat giving the away fans the finger of wanker gestures while his dad simply grins and follows suit.
There is absolutely no excuse for Saturday's behaviour by some Birmingham fans, but some of the parents and teenagers need to act with a little more maturity themselves. If they are gonna spend all game goading away fans we should not be surprised when a few lose their rag.
I would also add that most of the kids around me were not in the least bit distressed and instead found it all quite amusing.
With regards to objects being thrown, I have never seen anything other than a fruit pastille thrown anyersr near me so let's not over react.
I think many of you need to be honest here and own up to simply wanting to use Sat as an excuse to get the ends moved. You're not really bothered by the safety issues, you simply want to stand next to the away end for some banter.
I've no problem with moving ends, as I agree it would improve the atmosphere, but it just ain't gonna happen so live with it
Tue Mar 24, 2015 7:15 pm
This is my idea......to eradicate ANY in ground aggro AND increase the atmosphere - I'd move the family stand to the Canton end, put the away fans in all of the existing family stand (as we well never sell out and the no-mans land could be 2000 seats (hence eradicating any risk of trouble) and reintroduce a Block A in the grandstand for us older lads to go.
That way we'd have people singing in 3 sides of the ground and we could recreate the old Ninian Park experience.

WANT it!
Wayne Nash (and Cardiff City FC in general these days) don't 'do' fans wants!

You are spot on Chief. They could do it if they wanted to but they are anti atmosphere

I will just say this,Our Club can do what they like, its our club that decides on this,No one else.
99% of over clubs do not do this.

Ive been to about 351 grounds and I would say about 4-5 grounds at a guess and I am struggling with them.
Rotherham, I believe have there's and it got attacked by Millwall this season, they will now be leaving a big section empty in future, until they decide what to do

Says it all.The seating planning at our ground was a balls up from the start. No planning went into it hence lads being put in with pensioners, women and kids etc.We needed areas where like minded people are all together, not just the canton stand but the ninian stand too. Some people don't like watching football from behind the goals.

Spot on Annis. It is our choice, having Steve Borleys mouth piece saying different is bollocks in my very humble opinion.
