Back in the 90's this club was one of the biggest in europe for the money they got in for their players =
Buffon went for £32.6M : Fabio Cannavero was there at the same time with Hernan Crespo & Lilian Thuram £22M.
Zola was also there among others who Parma made money on....Sad times now

It went bankrupt soon after that but as I understand it bankruptcy in Italy is a softer punishment in football to the UK

They were OK until parma ham pulled the plug! Just shows what can happen when backers pull out!
