" BUSINESS DECISIONS AND NEXT SEASON "

Today Cardiff City loaned out Matt Connolly which has surprised many fans because Connolly has been playing in the first team but this was purely a business decision and not a footballing one.

Russell Slade did not want Connolly to go and whatever you think of the manager, there must be at least a little sympathy for him, he has his hands tied somewhat.

I wrote an update a couple of months ago when I said that the cost cutting would continue this season and in the summer it will continue and players with value will be sold off, this is still the case today as the loaning out of Connolly shows.

They sent out a letter to remind people to renew today, then loaned out a first team player who was probably down the list wage wise....
Hardly encouraging us to renew is it.

Let's blame Slade fans are out In force though Carl :laughing6:
I'm not renewing as the coffee from the two poofs served up in the Ninian stand near 116-117 is to hot. Cringworthy to say the least but it's an excuse :laughing6:

disappointed to see him go but we are staying in the Championship and will most likely get a loan fee and wages paid for him. I know people are pissed off at cost cutting but I'm actually happy we will try and live within our means for a change . Though I'm not happy with the style of football we are producing

Can't blame him wanting to go watching Morrison play every week ahead of him. Good decision financially, did we get a loan fee?

Can't feel much sympathy for Slade I'm afraid as it would have been made clear to him before he joined that ge was basically going to be Tan's bitch.

Tan to continue asset stripping during the summer tyring to get as much of his money back as he can. He obviously does not give a damn about the future of the club.

Because he thinks he can make more money for him perhaps?

Or maybe he really loves Cardiff City after all?

Which do you thinkis more likely?

100% Not true, Connolly was more than happy at Cardiff, this was purely done to save money, Watford are now paying his wages in full. 99% of our players that are being moved out, have been and will be going to save money.

any player who wants to go is being let go ,Connolly wanted to go as soon as he heard Watford were sniffing around he was gone ,looks to me that the club is going down the route of hungry old school type players who are not just here for their pay checks ,people said last summer tan was asset stripping but players were brought in to replace one's sold ,in January no one could of gone but the club said no if it was asset stripping he would of been gone

According to Annis in the post above yours, Connolly did not want to go. The club seems to be going down the route of players who cost nothing or loans and who have low wages. Nothing wrong with that of course as long as the right players come in. As for Noone, the club probably wanted more money for him and it's tempting to think that some players are being given new contracts only so that we can get more for them when we sell them.

Basically the club are saying that the rest of this season is a write off so it doesn't really matter what happens as we won't get relegated.

Oh but please still come to the games everyone, spend your money in the stadium and the shop and most importantly, don't forget to renew your season tickets for next season.

Disagree, if this was the case why pay 750,000 for Doyle? Exactly!! No doubt players will leave and things are trying to be managed better but I just think like most of us he's looking for value for money.

I have no sympathy for slade Carl. He inherited a good squad and had quality players yet his tactics and play have kept us mid table. A good manager would have got that squad into play offs and Tan would not be asset stripping.

Spot on Gareth, The squad is still good enough and a Slade is a Yes man thats why he is our manager on peanuts and way out of his depth.

He inherited us mid table and we are mid table......

I want Slade out, but lets keep it real. We were bottom of the premier league, sold our asset's let Ole run amok got told this was the best squad in the league and wanted to believe it.......

It needs breaking up

Loan fee to help cover the wages.

If fans aren't buying season tickets then the money has to come from somewhere.

If they stay low then there will be more.

Let's think, it's to June, basic maths says just his wages on a basic 15/20k is nearly 200k saved. Not to be sniffed at.

Connolly is also a Watford fan. Saw him after player of the year dinner promotion season and he wasn't drinking because he wanted to do Watford a favour when we played Hull

A good squad on paper yes but plummeting down the table before he got here

A squad unbalanced from the tinker man

Could we finish higher yes I'll agree to that

Did he expect this kind of treatment, no knew the job was a cost cutting exercise for sure but for players who are in the first team regularly to be shipped out at silly points in the season then he's not accountabke for that and that's probably not what he signed up for either end of seaon cuts yes minor cust january yes not to the extent we have seen ludicrous decisions from the club mid seaosn

You really can't win with Cardiff fans!! Bunch of moaners!! We all wanted a return to blue, we all wanted the debt to be sorted, these things have happened or are in the process of happening and your still f*cking moaning!! I didn't really want to renew my season ticket, not because of the club or the football on display but because of the miserable fan base we have who thrive of negativity!!

Couldn't have said it better myself! We got our blue back. The badge will be back next season. We're not going to get relegated. The plastic fans are leaving. Results are slowly improving. The club has had to take a step backwards for the club to be run at a stable financial level. I for one will 100% be renewing my season ticket. I'm proud to be a Cardiff City fan once again.
