Kagisho Dikgacoi is about to put an end to his injury frustration and could feature for English Championship side Cardiff in the next few weeks.
The former Bafana midfielder has not played since the end of August through injury, and has endured a disastrous first season with the Welsh club since arriving from Premiership side Crystal Palace at the beginning of the campaign.
While this year has largely been a write-off, he should get a chance to show his qualities to the club's fans ahead of the next season, many of whom have been left disappointed by his lack of appearances.
"Dikgacoi has been out with us [training] for the last couple of days," Cardiff manager Russell Slade revealed, before suggesting the midfielder would not feature for the team for a couple of weeks while he built up his match fitness.
Slade went on to sing the virtues of the player who he sees as an important cog for a club that had hoped to bounce straight back into the Premiership but find themselves languishing in mid-table.
Dikgacoi raised eyebrows when he rejected the chance to stay with Palace and instead take a more lucrative three-year contract with Cardiff. That move has proven ill-fated, with just three appearances in the campaign.

Why is he a "joke"? Do you know him personally and did he know he would be out for most of the season?
Somehow, I doubt either!
Wait until he plays an active part to judge him
as a player!
I hope that is sooner rather than later after what must have been a nightmare time, what with the injuries and the recent death of his father on top of it all!

Perhaps RICK+CCFC was making a passing reference to Dikgacoi having a history of returning to pre-season training overweight and out of condition?
Palace fans warned us to what to expect, indeed he was true to form with us too ... turning up bloated for pre-season - nice start to your career with your new club, who you've just signed a lucrative contract with. I'd say that is both unprofessional AND a joke.

Will probably try to move him on in the summer.
Must be a high earner - I recall that Palace offered him a new contract but they said that they couldn't match what he was being offered to sign for us.
Not sure who'll take him off our hands though on his wages and with his history of injury.

That's exactly what I was referring to. A Palace fan I work with told me when he signed that he was an average Championship player at best, and even OGS was disappointed with his condition, when returning for pre season training last Summer, and that's saying something!
