where we are going!!!

Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:29 pm

Last night, I walked out of the stadium a Happy Bunny and that has not happened for a long time when all things concerning City. Firstly I totally enjoyed the cut and thrust of the game with both teams having a go, Bournemouth were by a country mile the best team seen at the stadium all season, and I wish them well.

I did enjoy the city performance which showed commitment, a willingness to give everything to the game and some very good individual performances from Fabio, Bruno, Kennedy Ravell and Whits. We are better organised now and are more pleasing on the eye.

I for one having, witnessed the crap both on and off the field this season was one who was considering not renewing my ST for next year, certainly if there is more of what I saw last night before the end of the season, I think I will miss out on the Saturday afternoon shopping for another year and sign up for the Blue Army again. Question having witnessed Clarkie score against
Real Madrid have I earned my strips yet??

Happy bunny ?
I came out not happy but not pissed off either
Good game at times both teams actually going for it second half
But let's be fair we were awful first half like most games
Give teams to much time and space causing our own problems
They could of easily beat as 4 or 5 1 last night
But they didn't
Personally I think people are getting abit carried away
Still a lot of way to go IMO
Better yes but not that good . Realist I am !

Why do people keep saying could have lost by3 4or more goals in lots of our games even against lowly teams? Last night they had 3 shots on target!! So how could they have had 4 or 5? Football is about scoring more goals than opposition near misses missed open goals ect ect do not count! How many could we have scored we had more shots on target so could have had more in that case! :o

The dissaloud goal
The header right at the end
Bruno/goalie mistake
The list gos on
On other days we could of got battered last night
Luck was on our side
Think you got to face it they were the much better side last night
Most teams are against us
We play for 45mins most games
I think your hiding out our real problems we have
I said I agree we are getting better to a degree but still long way off IMO
I hope for a good busy summer ship out aload of players and bring some people in who can fight and play with abit of passion
Something we lack

We were terrible in the first 20-30 minutes, Bournemouth were all over us. I thought that we were going to get hammered 4 or 5 nil. We probably would have done but for the width of a crossbar. But the football did improve significantly towards the end of the first half. A better performance by City in the second half, but again we got lucky with the very poor refereeing decisions.

There is still not sufficient organisation. Our midfield is still poor (Kennedy was marking Francis who was twice his size), attack isn't offering any threat (it was Manga that scored from a corner) whereas Bournemouth looked dangerous every time they went forward. Jones is a joke and Revell isn't going to scare any defences (at least he tries hard).

We simply aren't in the same class as teams (and they play together as a collective team) like Bournemouth. That is really disappointing given that we were expecting to push for promotion at the start of this season. I still don't believe that this is ever going to change under Slade.

We were lucky to get three points against Brentford (due to goal keeper errors) and basically very lucky to get a point against the Cherries. I think that we shouldn't be kidding ourselves that there has been anything other than a very small improvement in recent games.

Lucky against brentford haha how did they score there goal then yes a goalkeeping error
On another day we might have scored more from the chances we created against Bournemouth ,we actually had more on target than them from about half the possesion
Too many of our fans have made up there minds on slade , and will never support a tans pick of a manager :bluescarf:

Bloody hell Steve you said that 3 times  I heard you the first time
I totally agree with you up until you said "too many of our fans have made up their minds on slade" I have nearly made my mind up about Slade, not because he was Tan's pick of manager but because of his awful tactics, (which I must say are getting better), I will however give him til the end of the season to prove me wrong but I do think he is not for us, only time will tell.
