" FRIGHTENING "

It is frightening the amount of empty seats in our stadium, tonight and every game this season, with no champagne football to attract the crowd, what will the attendances be next season ?

I fear the worst in that respect.

Since 2008, we have had something to sell our season tickets on the back of, whether it was the FA Cup final, play-off final and promotion pushes or the Premier League but this is the first season since 2008 that the loyalty of supporting through thick and thin can be truly measured and I am worried that it won't make for a pretty viewing with the amount of empty seats.

The return to blue has not ignited the passion back among the fans either.

The football being played has not been great, I have been critical myself but Russell Slade is grinding out results and isn't that what the fans want, results ?

I recon you could have got all the family stand into one block...

Why are everyone concerned with people not turning up? At the end of the day I saw an entertaining game of football tonight, I wasn't counting the empty seats

It was the first time I noticed that the attendance numbers wasn't announced!

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

the football is poor the fans still dislike tan
i think sponsors forced tan to turn back to BLUE
slade is not the man
the fans have lost the passion
players earning a week what fans earn in a year not puting in the effort
the club have a big problem getting the fans back

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

A Club needs its fans and thats what is frightening.

How many will be there next season?

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

The style of football we are playing is driving people away.

Football is after all, for most people , an entertainment and many people would like to see their home team playing some decent football and threatening to win a game or two.

Just not happening at the moment and it's easy to see why so many are staying away.

Can't see it changing much in the near future.

Tan can't be that bothered or he'd do something about it.

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

All thats happened is the fans who jumped on the bandwagon for the cup finals, promotion race and premier league season have gone back to supporting MUFC and the Scousers. Not even free tickets would bring them back.

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

But the footballs no worse than the malky football that was being played
that never stopped the fans turning up :bluescarf:

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:11 pm

Stay away 'fans' can make all the excuses they want but the truth is they only want to support us if we are challenging at the top of the table. Fair weather glory hunters. :D

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:12 pm

I don't blame the attendance on the style of football for me malky style was just the same and in cases worse but people was going because we was pushing for premier footie and plastic fans turned up for chance of prem footie n get cardiff season tickets in the prem just to see the big teams I know shit loads of man's Liverpool arsenal Chelsea fans who also support cardiff when we had success from 2008 fa cup final before that they didn't give a toss about us and now this season been bad they don't give a toss about us again, if we become successful next season or pushing for autos n play offs they will turn up again, same goes for re brand fans now it's been reversed they find more excuses to not go, could just be the prices for tickets aswell

I didn't think it would happen but if you look back each year we have had something to build on, new stadium, play offs etc. Now we are having a bad patch, that's football. Boro had similar and were only getting 15,000 and I think we will be same, no shame in that. :bluescarf:

Exactly it's a piss poor excuse for people who've seen the good times and are not willing to watch the worse times

We have blue back a new badge

Seasons ticket prices more than reasonable compared to last few seasons (for people not on price freeze)

The football isn't great but no worse than Malkys football

So what's the excuse?

I don't buy the not being entertained bollocks just doesn't wash with me we watched the same style under Mackay that's a fact grinding results out but I suppose the fist pump made up for that

It's purely because we aren't firing for promotion in my eyes

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:35 pm

Weren't expecting many to come tonight, Despite good results of late and more desire in the team it was a cold Tuesday night game plus their is nothing to play for we won't get promoted or relegated this season all about next season now finish the season on a high bring in some fresh faces and build. Hopefully fans will start coming through the turnstiles again once we pick up more good results and showing the desire we have shown in the last few games :ayatollah:

I thought it was...during a noisy part of the match! :?

I may be wrong, but the guys around me had a laugh at the crowd just before it came up on the big screen ;)

Re: " FRIGHTENING "

Just get rid of Slade. His attitude, his inferiority, his style of play, his utter lack of ability, his total ineptitude, his smug clichéd press conferences, his folded arms across his puffa jacket, just get rid of the loser and appoint a man with confidence and charisma, then people will start coming back.

In 2008 the average attendance was 13,900. We will do well to beat that next season

Somewhere in the last 45 years I must have missed this brilliant football that these so called fans are bleating about.
Apart from some isolated instances where we have (luckily) assembled a few good players the football has changed very little. But people's expectation has changed the 'Plastics' watch MOTD and think that's what I should be seeing in CCFC.....get real, shed your plastic skin.

Speaking to a few old heads from Ely who have followed city away and at home for over 30years and we all say the love has gone, it's just not there any more, we've all had season tickets and we've all listened to any game we couldn't make on the radio but now It a case of having a quick look on the BBC website.
Were used to empty stadiums and watching crap football the passion for the club seems to have been killed off, it's just not a big event in our lives anymore, we're looking forward to the Wales trips away
