And that's a foul and yellow card? Hmm...

Wilson turned his back on Moore just in time, we got away with that. If it's not allowed how did he get away with it all game until that point?

Nothing wrong with that goal - not in the spirit of the game perhaps but certainly not against the rules as far as I can tell.
Moore should have smashed one straight into his face the first time he stood there and perhaps he would have backed off after that.

Without seeing a replay and looking side on practically in front of the assistant referee on the right wing , I did not think that Wilson has made any movement towards the ball and the Keeper .
The laws state that the goalkeeper cannot be impeded when he is clearing the ball from his hands . If he is it is a mandatory caution .
The law has been in place for practically 20 years and follows the highly controversial Andy Dibble moment ,which under the laws then was a legitimate goal .
It is interesting that the said linesman did not signal for the infringement .
Just proves that no referee should ever turn his back on play .

Wilson cleverly turns to walk away just before Moore kicks the ball, effectively making it Moore's mistake.

Moore is becoming a bit of a liability now no wonder it's a blow when Marshall's unavailable.

Spills at least one shot or cross every game.
Beaten by a shot into the centre of the goal tonight - was it moving in the air? I couldn't tell from where I was standing.

In fairness to Moore, he cut across it making the ball swerve away. It was a great strike and I don't blame Moore for letting it in. I do blame Moore for their disallowed goal though. He was ridiculously lucky to get away with that. I also blame him for charging out of his goal when all he had to do was stay on his line to receive Manga's back pass. It was a shaky game for Moore but I still think he's a good keeper.

Yes I don't rate him, but as the ref blew early, Moore stopped ......

I think a keeper would get the fee kick every day of the week in this circumstance tbh, everyone saying we are lucky I disagree can't block a keepers kick and that's final Moore should have put it straight at his face the first time he stood in front of him

He is a young goalkeeper and still learning the game , but for me he looks a bit slow in his movement and reaction to danger
For a big lad he should boss the area better ...... and be far more vocal

Goal probably should have counted, but moor was at fault all night for allowing same player to get in way ! Simple salution was to drop back couple yards and player wouldnt have been allowed to stand there like he did. Not come to edge of area all the time?
Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:35 am
If it was us everyone would be raging. Definite goal and should've counted, Moore got lucky.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 2:21 am
Blaming him for not saving a shot after the red has blown up. Honestly you lot are hilarious. In play he collects that. Why he's over the age of ten and was able to be put off his game so easily is another matter but the 'goal' came after the ref blew.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 7:52 am
Moore was to nieve he should have kicked Wilson the first time it happened or stopped and claimed he was impeded. Any experienced keeper would have.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 8:23 am
I would have let the goal stand
Wed Mar 18, 2015 8:36 am
from where I was I could see the lino talk to the ref on his mic.
I have to agree with one poster - even when I was in goal for the Cubs back in the 60s if some tw*t pissed me off by standing in the way, I was told to punt one right in his face. I'm sure some of you may have heard me tell old Moore to do similar last night - nearly lost my voice doing it
City did well tonight - Bournemouth are top scorers in this league.
Oh and you can keep you Premiership refs over there - another bald tw*t who was v irritating at the best of times.
Anyhow CTID

If it was us the ref would have stopped us doing it, I don't know why he allowed him to block all game ???

Used to see this a lot, BITD, so that's why it was so unusual to see Wilson blocking Moore all game. The ref warned him enough, so whatever the particular incident involved, (I was in the corner of the Canton and Grandstand, and have not seen a replay), serves Wilson right. He was just being a prat all evening. Bournemouth are good enough not to resort to that. Once or twice, fair enough, but not all game. Glad he got booked.

Good decision ref! If you look closely the strikers foot was inside the box.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 9:41 am
Nothing wrong, it was a goal and should have stood, stupid goalkeeping

We've been stung for a lot worse. (Eto'o goal for Chelsea after kicking it when Marshall was bouncing the ball) Its just football and it was our turn for the rub of the green. If he hadn't been such a cheap c*** then it wouldn't be an issue. Lets be fair its pretty much bending the rule by walking away at the last second, Chopra used to do that all the time and it drove me mad because of what a gimp tactic it is.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 10:21 am
The goal obviously should have stood . The opponent is allowed to stand there as long as he doesn't block or move with the keeper - which he doesn't .
It could be argued what is he trying to gain from standing there but that is no defence.
Being in the box is irrelevant as it wasn't a goal kick .
Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:19 pm
He did it all game and the only thing the ref got wrong was not booking him earlier
it ain't allowed according to the rules whether he turned his back or not he was only there to impede otherwise what was he doing there
Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:35 pm
He is allowed to stand there but isn't allowed to block or move with the keeper .
He didn't do anything wrong for the goal .
Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:05 pm
Unsporting behaviour.Against the rules.End of.
Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:32 pm
Poor keeping Moore! We need Marshall back ASAP
Wed Mar 18, 2015 4:11 pm
Couldn't see what happened at the match, got away with that one!
