Our Country to be run by a Labour/SNP Govt?

I think that the SNP must be rubbing there hands in anticipation of having more power than they would have had if the Scots had voted for full independence.

Because let's be fair their economics didn't add up on that.

Personally I would like to see a coalition based on what's right for the country not on party dogma

But let's be fair that would be cloud cuckoo land.

I think we are in for years of fractured politics with no overall majorities.

ed has ruled out a coalition with the SNP, you could argue the point that the Tories might have to consider it, If it came down to it would David rubbish the idea ?

They would really be able to control Westminster.

Personally I dont think Coalitions are good.

Tories or the SNP would never consider it.

Ed has not totally ruled it out,in fact he has virtually said he would accept it,if it was on a voting system.

Just read where he says there will be NO SNP MP's in his Govt, but he has not ruled out using them to pass votes etc and of course they will want something in exchange.

Absolutely agree. Coalitions are only ever "convenient marriages" where compromises have to be embedded into policies and that can only benefit those who are so set on 'power' that they are prepared to short-change the population they are supposed to be serving!

Labour and Conservatives are nowadays different ends of the same boot lace and (with a few notable exceptions) they 'serve' no one except themselves!

Nick 'Power Hungry' Clegg, for example, will find out shortly what the price of his (and his Lib/Dem Party's) 'involvement' with the Tories came at and it certainly won't be an increase in their number of votes/seats!

A Labour/SNP coalition could/would simply never work, so (as a Welshman) happy days to that thought! :laughing6:
