I honestly think there's a chance of an upset tomorrow night. Cardiff are showing a lot more confidence and have nothing to lose. Pressure's on AFCB!

Nick, After Brentford who knows? and in reality we are home, so we should have a better chance.

I'll do the report now if you like.
It'll probably go something like this........
Cardiff couldnt match us for commitment, desire, skill, pace, tactics, and they constantly hoofed the ball as far down the pitch as possible.
It was like watching us play a team from the local parks league.
The atmosphere was non existent.
Our band of 500 fans outsang the paltry home crowd of around 12,000 throughout the game.
It was a 4 nil thumping but could have been so much more!

Seems a balanced and pretty accurate report from the Cherry guy and no obvious axe to grind (unlike some of the pre-match reporters we get)

Can we win?? Of course we can! :ayatollah:

But my feeling is that we won't and an on-song Bournemouth will win the game by 2 or more goals, as they have the momentum and incentive (sadly, more than we do  ) to 'want' the win against what is in reality a pretty average Championship side like Cardiff City

That's not me being being negative; more realistic under the current circumstances under which both clubs find themselves

I wish Bournemouth all the very best (tonight apart) in their quest to gain promotion to Never Never Land and I can think of several teams around them in the current table I would love them to leave behind in The Championship! :laughing6:

I usually get a good gut feeling for a surprise win, Watford, said we would win Sat. The doom and gloomers always come and say we will get hammered. For this one, don't have a good feeling at all. Too much movement and pace and this game worries me. Our best chance is if we are totally up for it and they start getting squeaky bum time as the promotion race gathers pace. They haven't the best defence. :bluescarf:

Back in the days when we had something to play for at this time of the year, the best teams to play were teams stuck in mid table obscurity, like we are now. Bournemouth would rather be playing us than Wigan or Rotherham, thats for sure.

That said, very often once the pressures have been removed then mid table teams feel free to express themselves and can cause problems to the top sides. An early goal could certainly cause the South Coast bums to squeak!

It wouldn't be that much of a shock if we won, and I like to think we can get at least a draw out of the game. but, realistically I suspect another home defeat is on the cards.
