A.F.C. Bournemouth is a football club playing in the Championship, the second tier in the English football league system. The club plays at Dean Court in Kings Park, Boscombe, Bournemouth, Dorset and have been in existence since 1899.

Nicknamed The Cherries, the team traditionally played in red shirts with white sleeves until 1971, when the strip was changed to red and black stripes, similar to that of A.C. Milan. A predominantly red shirt was chosen for the 2004–05 and 2005–06 seasons before announcing a return to the stripes for the 2006–07 season due to fan demand.

After narrowly avoiding relegation from the Football League in the 2008–09 season, Bournemouth were promoted to League One at the end of the 2009–10. After making the League One play-off semi-finals in 2010–11 and achieving a mid-table finish in 2011–12, Bournemouth won promotion to the Championship at the end of the 2012–13 season, putting them in the second tier of the league for only the second time in their history.

Bournemouth are an excellent team, but Blackpool gave them so much space on Saturday. Pitman is a tidy striker but we've got better. I really hope Connolly and McAleny are back - 2 best players v. Charlton.

Really tough one to call this one, depends what city side turns up really. I can defo see them getting at least one goal. I will sit on the fence and go 1-1. If not, 0-2 Bournemouth.

This is a tough one. As James the Bluebird boy says, it depends what City side turns up. Bournemouth have also got a lot to play for, including building up their goal difference. That said, I think City could be harder to beat than some of the Cherries recent opponents. I'm going for a 1-1 draw but hope city carve out an overdue home win.

Cardiff will be without two players through suspension when they host high-flying Bournemouth.

The Bluebirds, who lost 3-0 to the Cherries in south Wales in a Capital One Cup tie earlier this season, saw Fedirico Macheda pick up a second yellow in their 2-1 win at Brentford on Saturday after Kadeem Harris had earned a straight red.

Winger Harris will serve the first of his three-match ban while Macheda's one-game suspension means Kenwyne Jones or Eoin Doyle stepping into the side.

Russell Slade will assess defender Lee Peltier who limped out of that victory with just 12 minutes gone. Joe Ralls is standing by to replace the former Huddersfield man.

Looking at the players available to both teams, I can't get my head around how we are 22 points behind them. Doubt if we will get anything from tomorrow's game, but a good performance and at least running them close would be proof that we are finally improving. Going for Bournemouth 3-1.
