Why the change in our away form?

Sat Mar 14, 2015 7:39 pm

The last 5 games has seen a massive upturn in our away form, I was only present at Shef Weds so not in a position to comment. Be interesting to see what the football experts on here put this down to, it's no coincidence and to concede only 3 goals in that spell away in the championship is not that simple. So what's been the difference? :bluescarf:

Stringfellow I've noticed you pushing this question since full time, and I 100% agree it's a good and interesting question, you aren't the first to ask it however.

I noticed that Terry Phillips asked it in the pre match presser, I wonder if it's being implied that the players and staff are put under a lot of pressure at home.

We are obviously very expectant fans who have had a lot of success over the last few years and are used challenging for something. It doesn't take long for us to turn on the board, the staff, the players, even each other!

Hopefully a few decent results, coupled with the recent changes off the field will result in a more United fanbase and therefore a less pressured environment for the players and Slade.

Until the true through and through bluebirds in the stands out voice the unrealistic spoilt supporters, we will always have this problem. People too quick to boo and jeer a poor pass and behaving like opposition supporters, are hindering the team on the pitch.

we need the true thick and thin bluebirds to find their voices again.

I wasn't going down that line tbh, I think since the Blackburn game the CCS has been more of a positive place anyway. Our away fans have been decent all season yet for most of the season we couldn't buy an away win, with a more solid defence are we now more suited to playing away where at home we lack the creativity to break teams down? Who knows, the last 9 games will answer a lot as it could even out
