" WEVE ONLY GOT 9 MEN " A GAME OF 2 HALVES

But this time it's in our favour and its 3 Wins on the trot away from home


Our battling/brave performance got us the win

City fans continually sang we've only got 9 men

Perhaps City fans should just go to away games and not home

Over 1,500 City fans made this trip to Griffin Park,I remember visiting here with over 5,500 City fans and many locked out and some including myself in Brentford's end.




City since November, had only won three games. Against 20th, 21st and 22nd in the Championship,was that about to change today?
City started this game in their traditional Blue and with back to back away wins,could we win 3 on the trot?
Many had said City had improved vastly?Well today was going to be a real test against a team chasing the play-offs.

The first 20 minutes was all Brentford and City not able to get near them.

Peltier went off injured replaced by Rall's.

Fabio and Manga were strong and every where.

24th minute our first shot over the bar by Craig Noone,


29th minute a free kick by Brentford, a half attempted save by Moore, with the rebound back out to Brentford bang 1 nil Brentford.

Brentford fans taunted Moore, as he was their ex keeper.

All Brentford for the rest of the first half, attack after attack.

Half -time. Brentford 1 City 0 A ll one sided in Brentfords favour.

Kadeem Harris came on for Kennedy and immediately tore Brentford apart.

Harris continually made numerous runs,which eventually paid off with Macheda scoring 1-1.

70th min Revell one on one with Brentford keeper and Revell took it well 2-1 City.

City fans singing and celebrating.

Revell replaced by Jones.
Harris sent off with about 10 mins left, looked a bad tackle?

Backs to the walls, Brentford pressure.

Macheda then sent off with high dangerous kick,second yellow.

Yes Brentford had the possession,but we had scored 2 goals and battled and gave our all for the whole of the second half

6 mins injury time and City defended and defended.

Felt proud today with 9 men, a battling performance deserved the win

The first half was painful listening to on CCW. Thankfully they had the link cut for 10 minutes which eased the burdon.

The second half was a lot better for us. I think Slade told them if you are going to play for just 65 minutes then make it the last 65 minutes.

I'm not sure if we deserved the lead because it felt like luck was on our side today. Although we went down to 9 men did we not have a chance to clinch it in that period? If so I would say luck perhaps deserted us then.

I gave up on this season a while ago. I had a slight worry we could be pulled into a relegation fight but thankfully February was an average month which I believe will have secured our championship place. The remainder of the season should be used to start working out who will be up for it next season.

Ian, we were awful in the first half and should of been been dead and buried.
