City did us proud today with a fantastic win in London that sets down the marker for the rest of the season. I said in a earlier post that I was confident we would sneak it today, but when they scored forts I doubted that we would take anything and feared an onslaught.
But no, we fought back and have it our all. 2 goals from the front two. I have been the forts to doubt both of them but Macheda in particular is starting to show his worth and his scoring record lately proves that. We had to dig deep at the end. 6 minutes of injury time against a side that love to attack with nine men is difficult, but we showed something else today. A determination that we haven't seen yet under Slade.
So pleased with the win today. Lads fought really hard and credit to Slade, he got it right today. Safe journey back to the 1600 travelling bluebirds, I'm sure it will be a happy one. Up next is Bournemouth at home on Tuesday. Very tough game and I don't expect anything but we proved today that anything is possible.
