AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley reckons Cardiff City youngster Adedeji Oshilaja is destined to make it at the top level.
Ardley is a huge fan of the central defender and brought the Londoner to the Welsh capital during his time in charge of the club’s academy.
Now in the Dons hotseat, Ardley has been reunited with his the 22-year-old after a number of failed attempts to get a loan deal over the line.
some impressive performances in the famous blue shirt and scored his first professional goal in the 2-1 win over York City.
It has come as no surprise to Ardley to see the Bluebirds prospect flourish in League Two and he hopes to see him playing further up the pyramid in years to come.
He said: “I’ve tried to sign Deji five times. I know what he’s capable of. A few people raised their eyebrows when I signed him. People were saying ‘what are you doing he’s only a 5ft 11’’ centre-back’ but he’s better than this level and he’s proving it.
became a centre-back. He might not be the tallest but I don’t see him losing too many headers.
“He reads the game well, he’s two-footed and on the deck he’s excellent. The boy has got a good future and I’m proud to be a part of that.”

If Manga goes in the summer (Which is highly likely) could Adedeji be good enough to step in?
