If slade goes

Fri Mar 13, 2015 8:51 am

Ok first off I want to say I'm not usually one to talk about who is going to replace a manager usually in the job as it is usually pointless but with all the anti slade comments and get him out with no thought for what next I got thinking where do we go if slade does leave in the summer.

The man I'd love to see getting the job Is definitely Glenn Hoddle. Plays football the way it should be played. Good track record albeit nothing recently but it's not like we can attract a manager that has a good recent record at the moment. Speaks a lot of sense everytime I hear him ( when speaking about football not his personal believes obviously). Would be respected by players as he was an absolute worldy of a player. But I see two possible problems. Would he take the job and second would we accept a former England national manager?

If you think it's no to either then where do you think we go next.

If tony pulis, mick mcarthy and neil lennon all said they was interested in coming to manage cardiff i think its fair to say that we can attract very reputable managers.

I would rather slade goes once and for all and we get someone new in.

These would be my choices in this order..

Paul Clement (unlikely prob go to prem)
Glen Hoddle
Mark Warburton
Paul Lambert
Nigel Adkins

Division 1 with Slade

Dan Pet rescue

I would even rather Ian Holloway than Slade

I thought the club has backed Slade for another two transfer windows unless something drastic happens?
I can't see us finishing in the bottom 4 so I think he'll be here for next season.

I think we can put the bulk of next season on hold. Please someone just let me know when he's gone!

If you think things are ropey under Slade and Vinnie, just imagine what it would be like under that nutter Glenn Hoddle - this is the fella who reckoned disabled people had done something in a previous life to 'deserve' their disability. He was also the fella who had Eileen Drew the tea leaf reader do his horoscope.

He's achieved nothing at club level for years - he is yesterday's man.

I really think some of us have got more than one screw loose on here - guess it goes with supporting the City :bluescarf:

Personally I think Slade is here to take the flak necessary from such a huge re-structuring job. Once that (spending etc) is under control in the long term, then the club may then find an alternative manager.

Reasonable business practice to get all the bad press associated with one token leader, gives the next fella a clean slate to work with.

Personally I'm not that excited about Slade, but I have to remind myself that plenty round us in were slagging Malky off in our promotion season
