Personally I think Slade is here to take the flak necessary from such a huge re-structuring job. Once that (spending etc) is under control in the long term, then the club may then find an alternative manager.
Reasonable business practice to get all the bad press associated with one token leader, gives the next fella a clean slate to work with.
Personally I'm not that excited about Slade, but I have to remind myself that plenty round us in were slagging Malky off in our promotion season
