Hi all, (my mail to ticket office)
Unfortunately I will not be renewing for next season and will just pick our games on pay as you go method. I feel let down by club over my last renewal price of of 550+(1 adult/child).
Even though the price is now down to 370 for next campaign I still feel let down by the whole Cardiff experience and feel my support was taken for granted. I wish the club all the best and would like to thank club for going back blue and changing badge which are all positive steps.

Many, many fans feel the same.
It's now up to the club to find solutions.
From board level, management, team and the ground experience itself.
There needs to be some serious changes.......and fast.

Do you realise how pathetic you sound?

Your first gripe is over cost, the club have reduced your personal price by almost £200 and you still feel let down?

You will pick and choose games? So if we won our first 5 games and looked awesome promotion candidates, you would undoubtedly want to watch every game at £25-£35 a pop? Possibly costing you up £700

You acknowledge the rebrand as positive also, yet won't be renewing?? Pathetic

I thought that was well written, season ticket pricing is bound to create friction between fans and club for how little value they got.
Supporters were taken for granted and only recently the club realised that the support is not unconditional when attendances dropped, hence reasonable prices next season

Yes iv missed around 9 homes games so far this season also I have a season ticket,
I just don`t feel the love anymore, so for that reason i wont be renewing my self and ill try to do a few more than my usual 5 away games a season

A lot of fans agree with you. I think you've made some great points. Although we have our blue kit back along with the prominent bluebird on the crest, the passion has been shattered by the changes first of all. I think that it will get better in time but for some it's too little too late.
Personally, I'm still debating whether or not to renew for various reasons but I will never stop going to aways either. I've only missed 5 away games this season and the majority of them were because I can't get time off work for Tuesday games. I'll be there at Brentford too. Lets hope we can grab another 3 points

to stop supporting at this particular moment in time just smacks of a person bored with watching poor football in mid table mediocrity. thats your decision and good luck with that, but you are not fooling me, mr fair weather fan.

All clubs have, and need, fair weather fans.
The club will be aiming it's marketing at them big time.
They are, after all, the biggest part of our catchment target.
Trying to dis them and slag them off helps not one jot.
In fact, you are actively doing what the club don't want.

It's not about slagging people off or dissing them, but to have various so called loyal supporters coming on message boards and whinging about being made to feel unloved by the club is laughable. There are no excuses for not renewing now other than you don't like watching boring football and a team that's not winning or going for promotion.

In your opinion.
People handing over their hard earned cash have theirs.
You don't know why they are not renewing and can only guess.
There ARE other excuses, it's as simple as that. Just because you say there are no other excuses don't mean there ain't.
Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:18 pm
I'm not renewing. I've had a season ticket for nearly 30 years and have seen the club promoted , relegated and mid table. I've just fallen out of love with the "City" experience. It used to be a nice day out and even better once I started taking my son.
I dreamed of watching Cardiff in the premiership as a kid and to be honest I hated it. Not because we were relegated but because its when i really noticed the change in atmosphere at games and the bickering of our fans. I thought I would give it another chance this year but it's still the same.
Even the atmosphere at away games is no where near what it was when we were in Div 4. I will be a Brentford on Sat and I'm hoping to enjoy the experience (I don't expect us to win but that would be an added bonus). I may renew again in the future but for now I will pick the games I want to see.
Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:19 pm
I would renew for 200 but not 370.

Exactly right. Why can't people just be honest instead of making up pathetic excuses. Not all fans are the same, some are hard core, others float around in and out according to how successful a team is. As per virtually every club.

Like rats escaping a sinking ship ,just cause we are finding it hard at the moment ,some of the people moaning are the ones who have made excuses about the rebrand ,now its the way we are playing ffs most of my time in the last 28 years of supporting city we've been Shit

From 500+ to370
from red to blue
from a beer mat to a new exceptable badge
and still finding EXSCUSES not to renew
we are better off without fans like these
Thu Mar 12, 2015 9:23 am
Without wanting to sound mean, they wouldn't even bother to read that. Who did you send it to? If you sent it to the ticket office then they have nothing to do with the club. Its like telling a shelf stacker at ASDA that you feel let down by their sausages so are going elsewhere, he wont give a f*ck.
That being said. Its only £50 less than the jacks in the Prem and look what we are being served up. I think £370 is too much.

like an elite Cardiff City squadron in a 35k stadium, times have changed, club has changed. Club needs the floating customers as acknowledged by the club itself
to bring back Glory Hunters they need to bring the glory otherwise it is another disastrous decision expanding the stadium for just the elite squad of fans who stick by the club no matter what

You got some righteous people on this forum who think the only reason fans are not renewing is because they are glory hunters and everyone should put up with all shit that has happened or your not a proper city fan. That's utter bollocks!
What would you do if you caught your wife shaging another bloke and she promised that she would never do it again, get the groceries for £30 a week cheaper and would wear your favourite top every Saturday as a compromise??? What you take her back or say enough is enough and tell her to f&$k off. This is how I feel about city and that is why I'm not renewing.

Exactly so many excuses. Why don't people just tell the truth, it's because we're not winning games. That's all it comes down too.

Not winning games
Sub standard football (for championship level)
Uninspiring manager
Terrible matchday atmosphere
Away fans treated with more respect than home fans
Over zealous stewarding
Those are some of the reasons why people feel like jacking it in at the moment, and to be fair i dont blame them.
For far too long the club has taken their public for granted and now we have a big problem. It has been proved that if you stand up to the club hierarchy then they will make the right decisions.
These problems need sorting and sorting fast. Everyone who says good riddance glory hunter or bye bye fair weather fan, well you need to wake up and start to realise this isnt about who has been Cardiff's longest or most loyal fan. Its about REAL city supporters becoming so disillusioned with our once proud football club. People who have been going for decades are going to call it a day, and we still snipe at each other.
We were once feared across the land for being ferocious and extreme followers of our beloved club. There are sometimes stories on this board of how our fans would fair back when we were kings of the terraces.
That is the past and it belongs in the past. Our biggest fight now is with ourselves. We must demand dialogue with the club officals and start holding people to account.
There are some really talented people in our fan base who could help our match atmosphere. Regarding things like new songs and possitive banners and murals. I mean if Crystal palace can do it why cant we? We need to make our ground a daunting venue for the opposition. Not roll out the red carpet and say "here's your 3 points".
So stop bitching at each other and lets try and unite.

the club lost fans. when they went up to the prem. a person i know didnt renew . when we got promotion. due to work commitments, having been a season ticket holder. for the past 16 years, before that he paid at the gate, nothing from the club. why are you not renewing, or a letter to say. sad you are leaving us, no, prem football, they didnt need the long term fans, they just saw pound signs, with what 10,000 on the waiting list, they would never look back? now they want the real fans back. and the real fans are saying. f**k you, and while im here. heres another thing, the crowd down the city at the moment, are season ticket holders, having to go to justify spending hundreds of pounds on a season ticket, if you were shown the video before hand of how our season panned out , there would be 2000 down there, said before. its a very bad run club from top to bottom,
Sat Mar 14, 2015 12:10 pm
I'm actually considering getting my first season ticket.

an adults and a childs season ticket for £370? and you're still whining? what a stingy b*stard you are.
fair weather fans like you will be back when the results improve, and whats more they'll be willing to pay much more than £370 for TWO season tickets.
to be honest i have no problem with the club charging high prices to fair weather fans, if nothing else it keeps their negativity and entitlement at bay when results are poor.
