Bluebirds included in the badge?

The Badge is a 4/10 effort. It will work though and the merchandise will sell

I honestly believe our nickname should of been included. This was the opportunity to get ahead of clubs that are slow to recognise that nicknames are unique attractions for new fans.

Circular is my preference, it is an easy design to be replicated on all coats, bags etc. Chelsea modernised and done a fantastic job in doing so.

The Dragon at the bottom, not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Enough said on that

Red outlines included, well that will have to go along with a red away kit when Tan sells up.

Opportunity missed. After all the turmoil this was a unique opportunity to re-connect with the disillusioned. It was a unique opportunity to market the club as the Bluebirds, Cardiff City Bluebirds

Fire & Passion is acceptable but Bluebirds not? Why??

I think a bluebird symbol was more important than the nickname.... I'm not a fan of the badge, but it'd look more cluttered

I would of had Karl Payne's design in a heartbeat over this one

Just taken from other thread, very passionate about circular badges being the smart way to sell merchandise

Really nice effort from Harvey proper fans know what the club is. Circular, easily replicated onto anything, and half yellow design is cool

Why the club needed to go 'in house' when some of the fans' badges were superb

Let it go, it's sad how many are still throwing their toys out the pram.

though he has made massive compromises from what HE wants... there's practically nothing there save 1/3 of a dragon at the bottom...

if anything, the fans have won in the compromising stakes. We've got our home colours back, we have a decent enough badge with clutter removed that keeps our identity and has a massive bluebird and a tiny dragon...

though I think what most people here mean when they say "compromise" is "we'll have it our way or we'll moan about it"

Red and blue on the same kit does not work aesthetically. The club must know this but pressed ahead with the compromise regardless. The kit will do well but I can't pretend to like it

The kit will sell thousands next year my points are valid and I would like to give huge credit to the fans who designed excellent badges that were hands-down better than the club design

We are cardiff city not chelsea ffs i am more than happy with the badge, shield is is unique to us as we have normally had a shield in the past, writing is blue and prominant, i dont mind the dragon because we are welsh and a red dragon is a red dragon at the end of the day, and most importantly the bluebird jumps out at you and screams cardiff city and you only need to look at the badge to realise we are the bluebirds because of how prominant the bluebird is.

Thank you. Its amazing that two subtle changes which took all of 5 minutes for me to do can look so much better. Hopefully when tan leaves then these changes could be implemented

I don't like the red, but then I don't like the yellow either... Use Eurostyle font if you want it to match the CCFC writing on there as well.

The new badge is good. It takes aspects from our history and melds them together. While I agree that the red border is a little jarring, our away kit is now red and you'll find that a good number of badges have their secondary colours included.
