Bluebird 'most important thing'
To be honest I quite like the new Cardiff City club badge and I think everyone can agree that it is a vast improvement on the last one.

'It has stunned me'
I actually think for the first time in three years they have got something right.
I am not saying I agree with the dragon but I like the badge. It is the first time I will buy the tops for me and my daughters. For the last three years, I didn’t buy the tops.
It shows that it is Cardiff City - after what we have had in the last three years, it’s superb.
It is basic but it is straight to the point and shows it is Cardiff City Football Club and shows the Bluebird and that we are blue.
The blue is so prominent; It dominates it. He (Vincent Tan) has had to swallow a lot of pride to do this and we couldn’t have expected anything better.
It has stunned me and shown how far he has come our way.

'Initial disappointment'
Searching for positives when it comes to Cardiff City’s new club crest the only real thing that springs to mind is the fact that at least it’s better than the last one.
A lot better.
If that is damning the new design with faint praise then I’m afraid my own initial reaction to it was one of disappointment and the thought that yet another chance to rebuild bridges between the club and supporters had been wasted.
My impressions of it? Too simplistic, and although a nod to tradition, still one with the spectre of the loathed red rebrand lurking within it.
If we want to look at the positives then there plenty. The prominence of the traditional bluebird is the most obvious one.
The iconic symbol is back central and the biggest detail of the lot. The eye is drawn to it. That’s great.
The lettering of the Cardiff City FC across the top makes a clever nod to the giant letters on the front of the grandstand at Ninian Park.
Thousands of fans will remember that as one of the first sights they saw as they headed to the famous old ground.
Different Cardiff City badges down the years:
The shield shape is fine, off the shelf so to speak, but OK.
However, it is the red flourishes and the strange looking dragon that spoil things for me and will have many supporters believing that despite what has been said their tradition and views are still not being totally listened to.
The dragon at the bottom is in my view ridiculous and unsightly. But if Vincent Tan needs some form of acknowledgement of what he has done in the Welsh capital then fair enough.
The part I dislike most though is the red band running around the inner edge. For me that should either be taken off or changed to yellow.
Then we might be getting nearer the crest the great club deserves. An opportunity missed I’m afraid to say.

'Blue and the Bluebird are back'
The Bluebird is back, big and proud. That, for me, is the big plus.
I like the shape and don’t even mind the red trim just inside the blue.
City’s new badge will feature on home and away shirts from the start of 2015-16 and, yes, it’s the thumbs-up from me.
The only negative thought I have is the small Oriental Dragon. It looks a bit of an afterthought to me, put down the bottom.
But I certainly would not want the dragon any bigger than it is so even that is acceptable.
Club owner Vincent Tan deserves great credit for making this possible. There is a little red on the badge and that is acceptable for me, too.
Blue and the Bluebird have been a part of Cardiff City history. They are back.
