How are season tickets selling ?

All time low I would guess

My three will be selling to someone else I'm afraid. I've watched us since the 1970s but even in the darkest days we had players who fought for the shirt and there was some semblance of entertainment. I don't see any passion under Slade and certainly no entertainment so its time to have a rest and do something else with my Saturdays.

Good times watching us lose at home to Darlington, see Hartlepool bring more to a game than us as home fans on a Tuesday night, throw 3 goal leads away against Torquay and Stockport in successive home games, losing 1-5 at home to Huddersfield and 0-6 to Notts Forest - I never gave up on my team then but Slade's way of playing is the last straw. Also don't I recall one of these posters going fishing or something instead of watching their team until recently - surely that's a bluebird for the good times?

I was at the Battle of Hastings ( does that count) and I didn't see you there?

I was awarded a Medel and therefore have recommended you for one

It's good to know that messageboards are only a minority fraction of any clubs support in whatever Division :bluescarf:

I know, nothing personal but I hate when people say I have been supporting the club from etc etc :bluescarf:

It's always been a roller coaster following City and mostly enjoyable but the Club have let us supporters down over to many issues these past couple of years which reflects in all our moans :ayatollah:

They'd have to go some and more to be at an all-time low, but currently there is no pressure (unlike in previous years) for anyone to panic buy their tickets...

Most (of those who intend to renew) are simply waiting to do so and keeping their monies in their own banks rather than the clubs...

I will renew when it suits me, but sadly that does open up the opportunity for the doom merchants on here to use the the fact that I haven't for their own mischievous ends

Come on Sven lighten up.

Beside Man City every club has lost thousand of fans that have been at the top but dropped down. We could return to STs pre FA cup final and we should not be surprised.

I'm with you on this. People like you and me have had the best few decades watching City. Feel for the younger fans who won't ever experience the terrace culture, fences, smoky atmospheres, and all that. It's all gone and it won't come back. That's the reason this season ticket is my last. The rebrand was irritating, the football ain't great, but I just miss the old days. The whole experience isn't what it used to be. I felt that when we were going up and winning and I feel it now. I'm missing games like it's going out of fashion, but frankly don't care. These fans saying people like you and me are fickle - say what you like. I'll always treasure the memories that so many of those people will never have.

Re: How are season tickets selling ?

Exactly and for the record the season in the prem was one of the least enjoyable I had ever known because it just didn't seem like my club I was watching. Its been overtaken by this season though as like everyone else I was glad to have the blue back it doesn't compensate for the fact that this no longer feels like the Cardiff City I grew up with and the brand of football excites me less than watching my boys under 14s where they actually get the ball down and play. There is no roar from the crowd at the CCS because there is nothing to roar about -and while it was slightly better than of late yesterday its utter garbage for the most part.

It wasn't meant to be too heavy and I agree that many will drop out for the reasons you state. However, it is clear that the correct time to assess how ticket sales have gone is at the close of the window, which is considerably lengthier than in previous years

Great Post and sums up exactly how i feel. I have been watching since late 60's with a season ticket for last 20 years but don't think i'll renew next year and that's got nothing to do with Tan/rebrand/shit football etc but all about how 'modern' football has changed the match day experience - just no excitment at all anymore and been going for last few years out of blind loyalty than any real enjoyment.
