' Since Trollope '

Has come in we have been playing much better ,tighter at the back and players seem to be more committed

Re: since trollope

He had made a huge impact.

I'd make him manager and see how he does until the end of the season.

I do find it hilarious how fans have over reacted on a hopefully away win against Rotherham.

Re: since trollope

i think having manga back has more to do with our defensive record to be fair.

Re: since trollope

Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:36 pm

True but our performances have also changed, not as much as needed mind.

Re: since trollope

Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:36 pm

Yes we have , don't see him as a manager though

Unbeaten in 4 at home luke

Know game is easy in this leage you of all people should know that

It's a huge win for us virtually guarantees safety hopefully push into top 10 now

Re: since trollope

I think it's a big win and I just said to my dad I think that's enough to keep us up.

I think that's despite slade though.

Re: since trollope

Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:48 pm

From what we've seen I son't think its any coincidence that we have improved since Trollop arrived. I don't think RS is the man for us but I also think that a lack of coaching support has got to be a big hole in any managers role.

it cant work both ways though. you cant have a go at the guy when we lose then claim its nothing to do with him when we win.

not saying one result changes everything. but there has been improvment even though its been small. hes here till the end of the season at least so lets just see how it goes.

Re: since trollope

I just think the good work on the training pitch by trollope is being used but they can only do as much as the managers decisions.

For me slade has shown to be a clown week after week. Slade can take credit, maybe it's deserved but I just don't like him or the way he manages.

what good work on the training pitch?

Re: since trollope

Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:57 pm

Well I'm assuming he has as many aspects of our game has improved and slade said he was brought in to do the training ground stuff, he is a coach after all.

Nobody is getting carried away, it's not about tonight for me. It started at Blackburn, we picked up points away and 2 clean sheets and we were unlucky on sat and tried to play again. You could almost say that was coming. Young players who have a point to prove.

Re: since trollope

We have definitely improved since Trollope came on the scene. Our passing and possession stats are far better than before.
Forget making him manager, lets just stick with him as first team coach and improving the playing style. We always knew Scott Young was out of his depth.
Slade is known as a man manager, so lets just see if he can do any better now there is a proper coach taking care of training and preparing the players. If Slade doesn't improve then replace him end of the season but keep Trollope as coach.

I think people are getting carried away, thread being bumped about how right they are about slade who had what 2 wins in 12 or something close. Usual city fans ott after a win and ott after a loss.

Re: since trollope

Slade can't win on here, so many people giving trollope all the credit for tonight's win, with the same people blaming Slade for Saturday's loss!

Yes I have posted this before about ott, but personally after reading second half in cup I thought it can't get any worse. It's improving and even the biggest critic can't deny that. You can only move forward. You can throw that stat or I could say 2 wins in 3. One goal conceded away in 3 games. We are improving

Been a huge improvement since Manga returned and Slade brought in some players he wanted to improve the squad!

the task Russell had with not having any decent coaching staff when he came in was close to impossible for him,

maybe it's time to give the man some slack. Olive branch for Slade? Maybe it's not to late for him to win over the fans

It also questions what he actually does.

I really feel for Slade, when we lose its all his fault, a decent result and all the praise goes to Trollope.

Managers and coaches often work better as a team. Slade or Trolloppe may not be good enough individually, but perhaps together may be the real deal. Lots more to prove yet, though. :ayatollah:

agree hopefully we can go on a big run now and things will change ready for a big promotion push next season

I think everyone is forgetting the single biggest factor in our great win last night was a red card. This had nothing to do with Slade nor Trollope. If Trollope is so good why couldn't he see this earlier and get Slade to act upon it?

Wez,
I have to agree Trollope has been a great help :thumbright:

So has the return of Manga and Marshall :thumbright:
