Is our fanbase now one of the least aggresive?.

Tue Mar 03, 2015 11:09 am

I don't go to away games but what I've noticed is that our fans are never in the papers for violence nowadays. I can't remember the last time our fans were talked about as aggressors, causing trouble. Is that the case or is it simply not reported?.

What happened with Millwall, I simply could not imagine our fans doing. We are still to play them at home so that could be interesting.

Our reputation remains unchanged though. Mention Cardiff and people think of the fighting in the past.

Home games as well. The only fights in the ground that come to mind recently are W.B.A in the Premier League and a nothing altercation with a Leeds fan in the home end this year. Apart from that little else.

Bristol City away next year you would expect something to happen after the last game in cardiff.

The jacks are struggling with their labeling of cardiff fans as "scum", when our fans have been so well behaved for so long.

Most people, especially the older ones with kids and responsibilities have wised up and realised its not worth 18 months in prison for having a scrap at a football match.
CCTV, banning orders and prison sentences have put an end to most mobs.

Will be interesting when Millwall visit in April.

There's a possibility that we could relegate them that day.

The Family Stand better be prepared then.

Last time quite a few millwall turned up late and tried to pick off small numbers of Cardiff fans getting to the game just on time or a little late. There were very few police outside the ground and a fight broke out near the old ninian gates in which a number of Millwall's finest were trying to kick the shit out of a few City fans, if a number of what many people choose to call our hooligan element had not turned up late and helped it could of been ugly.
A warning to all our fans, when Millwall come to town, get in the ground early or move around with a decent number, especially if you are getting there late. :ayatollah:

I think it would be very naive to assume that. Our past reputation means that we will always be targeted by rival fans especially those we have history with and I don't think the day will ever come when Cardiff will be regarded as soft! :bluescarf:

It's true what the earlier post said about having children and responsibilities and not worth a stint. However I don't think provoking the city fans would be a wise move

Yes , most of us have grown up now. Years ago you could go away and get attacked by away fans and know your fellow boys/fans would help you out. Now they'd either leg it or film you getting a kicking on the floor.

Don't worry mate , If I see you getting attacked I will help you out. As the older boys used to say on the bus "if you run you're not coming back on the bus "

Certainly not soft. When we take a big following away i see a fair bit of aggression, just not as bad as it used to be.
