FA forced to delay verdict on Malky Mackay as new information emerges in vile texts scandal

Tuesday 3rd March 2015.

-The FA were hoping to complete their investigation into the messages in February
-New information has been passed onto The FA at the end of January
-The FA are expected to release a statement to explain the delay

The investigation into Malky Mackay and Iain Moody’s exchange of racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-Semitic messages has been extended after new information was passed to the Football Association.

Disciplinary chiefs at Wembley were hoping early last month to complete an investigation that dates back to August, when details of the messages were first published by Sportsmail.

But Sportsmail can reveal the FA unexpectedly received a fresh batch of information at the end of January that has forced the investigators to review a case that may not now be resolved before the end of the season.

The FA have been given new information in their investigation into racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-Semitic messages sent between Malky Mackay and Iain Moody. That will offer little comfort to Mackay, who no doubt wants to draw a line under the controversy when he is trying to guide Wigan away from relegation danger. Mackay has endured a disastrous run of results since taking charge in November of a side now sitting nine points adrift of safety.

But FA chairman Greg Dyke said the governing body would be releasing a statement this week to explain the delay. The FA have already spent months wrestling with the issue of private and public communication, and whether they can charge an individual when the emails and text messages were exchanged between Mackay and Moody in their capacity as manager and head of recruitment at Cardiff City. A precedent was set when the FA ruled against taking action against Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore for his part in an exchange of sexist emails with a colleague last year. Dyke made the point that the emails were sent in a private capacity, and therefore did not fall under the FA’s jurisdiction.

But the FA’s disciplinary team have probed deeper into the Mackay case, even trying to interview former players in an attempt to establish if a culture of racism, sexism, homophobia and anti-Semitism existed at Cardiff while the two men were in charge.
By the New Year it seemed such enquiries had amounted to very little, with it becoming increasingly likely that Mackay and Moody would escape punishment despite both admitting to sending the messages. Indeed Mackay issued an apology in an interview on Sky as well as the now infamous bungled ‘banter’ apology via the League Managers Association.

THE DAMNING MESSAGES
'Fkn chinkys. Fk it. There's enough dogs in Cardiff for us all to go around.'

On the arrival of South Korean international Kim Bo-Kyung

'Go on, fat Phil. Nothing like a Jew that sees money slipping through his fingers'

On football agent Phil Smith

'He's a snake, a gay snake. Not to be trusted'

On an official of another club

'Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering.'

On a list of potential signings

'I hope she's looking after your needs. I bet you'd love a bounce on her falsies.'

On a player's female agent

A picture entitled Black Monopoly (where every square was a "Go to Jail" square)

Sent to members of Cardiff's staff

The problem the FA’s legal experts appear to have had is the fact that no rules were in place for such cases at the time that the messages were sent, making it difficult to punish them retrospectively.

But reports speculating that Mackay and Moody were likely to escape unpunished appears to have prompted more witnesses to come forward, with individuals Mackay might have considered to be allies thought to be among those to have now submitted this new information.

The first messages emerged when Mackay and Moody were about to be reunited at Crystal Palace in August, where Moody in his role as director of football at Selhurst Park was hoping to appoint Mackay as a managerial replacement for Tony Pulis. In the end Moody was forced to resign while Palace went elsewhere in their search for a new manager, recruiting Neil Warnock.

The original messages were discovered as part of an investigation funded by Cardiff owner Vincent Tan into club transfer business, with a team of lawyers gaining legal access into Moody’s home and office to seize computers and phones.

The FA are a joke....how can an investigation take so long???

They have backed themselves into a corner because of Scudamores earlier e mail...now they don't know what to do

Strange that she was so offended but did not bother to complain. Most likely the wet soppy people who like to be offended for other people did it for her.
Unless she was too embarrassed to have it known that she had implants and tried to keep it quiet.
Photographic evidence would be good to clear all this up.
