Gunnarsson

I was reading some posts under this topic on another forum and I came to the same conclusion as many others. I wonder if much of our recent "mini revival" has been down to Aron's newly found form. It disappoints me he attracts so much criticism because, whilst he may not be among the most naturally gifted of players his whole hearted, committed style does belie considerable talent. Lets be honest it cant be easy being partnered with someone like Whittingham week in week out and I think this unfortunate circumstance hampers his play. Theres no doubt he needs much more support. But as has recently been seen he can actually score spectacular goals and, with the right help, can provide a galvanising influence in the centre of the park.

Much maligned by some he may be but I believe that we are much better with him in the side than without. I for one am looking forward to seeing him perform with a new central partner albeit regrettably only for one game and maybe wistfully dream of what might otherwise have been this season.

I agree, Gunnars has really played we'll in the last few weeks and there isn't a week goes by where he doesn't give 110% and fight for the badge. He also loves the fans. At Norwich he was the only one who came over to us and clapped us for travelling. I think he threw his shirt to Annis. Always liked his effort and he's beginning to show real quality. :bluescarf:
