RUSSELL SLADE: " IS HAPPY "
29th February 2015

Manager happy with spirit despite slender loss to Wolves
Cardiff City manager Russell Slade felt his Bluebirds side deserved more after seeing Wolverhampton Wanderers leave the Welsh capital with a 1-0 win.
Bakary Sako’s goal proved enough for Kenny Jackett’s side, despite a late flurry of Bluebirds pressure following the dismissal of Peter Whittingham midway through the second half for two bookable offences.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Russell said,“I thought we deserved something. We’ll have to do some work picking the changing room up after that.
"I thought we started well, but probably lost our way for ten minutes when they got their goal. It was a poor goal to concede, because we had possession in their half, and an opportunity to clear it as well.
“It was obviously frustrating to lose Whitts, but it seemed to galvanise us. There were a couple of clearances off the line that might on another day have gone in. We certainly looked like a side that were going to get a goal, and I feel for the team that that didn’t come, because I thought they put in a really good shift.
“So many times in the past we’ve seen teams galvanised in adversity; we’ve had it done to ourselves, when we went 2-0 up against Reading but then they had a man sent off and still came back. We made a fist of it in the second half and from that point of view it was encouraging. Maybe six weeks ago we might have lost that game two or three-nil, but today we looked as if we could go on and get something out of the game.
“The crowd were trying to suck the ball into the net, and I don’t know how it stayed out on some occasions today. There was one where it was cleared off the line and then knocked goalwards again, and I thought that might have been over the line at the time but it wasn’t.
“We played against a good side today who are in free-scoring form. Other than the second opportunity, where we nearly gifted them, I thought we limited them very well, and probably if anything we need to keep creating opportunities, and be more brutal with them when they arise. We have to start being more ruthless.”

Is he for real?
Who can be happy with yet another home defeat, yet another game where the opposition had more possession than we did, yet another game where we struggled to create any chances from open play?
The man is an idiot and the worst manager we've had since Alan Durban.

'Is Happy' because he probably realises he's got a job next season.
He's got to go end of season.

How can any manager be happy with a home defeat, Tan had a good reception yesterday, he would get a better one if he got rid of that loon

12 points from the last 45 available, crowds dwindling at home.
Happy days eh Russell?

Same old,same old.........
Probably wrote this before the game!
Continues with one dimensional "try not to lose" football.
No wonder our defence has improved, with all the practice it gets!
